Discussion: Trump Continues Tirade Against Charles Koch With Jab At His Election Donations

Keep pissing off your donor class, Trumpty, I mean, what’s the worst that can happen…

A rising tide lifts all boats.

Trump just wants to sink everyone else’s boats before the tide comes in.

I am totally against chaining the Koch brothers to Donald Trump and throwing them into Lake Superior.

Lake Michigan, then?

Make sure this circular firing squad doesn’t run out of ammo…

Oh, yes. This is a thing of beauty to watch. It’s Rump’s minions in Congress who are going to have to thread the needle of getting funding from the Kochs v. bowing and scraping for Rump to get the votes that feral trumpers will (hopefully) provide. :smirk:

You got to watch it with these rich guys. You even faintly disappoint them and they’ll conveniently forget where they put their checkbooks. Enjoy, GOP!

Don’t you love how Trump always attacks based on what HE has done or failed to do? He pretends that Koch doesn’t make donations when that is true Donnie. Brag about how much you are contributing but no evidence you did. I can’t stand them but the Koch’s have plenty of evidence of where the put their money.

Yes, Superior.

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they say, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

Lake Erie would be eerier.

Me too, pretty sure that dumping toxic waste into the great lakes is a no no. Or it used to be anyways.

Guess the moron doesn’t know this about his hunky Treasury Secretary. From today’s NYT:

This week, the Trump administration further eased its pressure on Rusal, Russia’s largest aluminum company, less than four months after sanctions on it and its notorious leader were imposed. Even as the White House seems willing to inflict pain on American farmers and consumers with its trade wars, Russian aluminum workers are apparently worthy of special protection.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has said he is considering lifting the sanctions altogether because they are punishing the “hardworking people of Rusal.”

Meanwhile, the aluminum worker in Toronto can go to hell. He’s a national security threat.

We would get blowback from the Canadians. They don’t want our trash washing up on their northern shores…

Personally, I would love to see this battle of the egos escalate until the Goopers don’t know which way to turn…

No worries on that. The Canadians will build a wall. And bill the US for its cost.

Ah, yes, the wall through Lake Superior. I believe Spankee proposed that once upon a time.

It’d keep those darn Canadians from crossing the mid-winter ice with their dogsleds and snowshoes.

Of course, thanks to globally warming, that threat may just “melt away” on its own. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

The Kochs are real billionaires and do their “best” work in the dark (super-PACs), while Trump has the megaphone, is media savvy, and will use it to rile up the base. So we’ll have a war between that untidy union of the Republican donor class vs. the “deplorable” base. Should be interesting to watch.
