I wouldn’t go that far. It’s the difference between taking the House back in 2018 versus 2020, perhaps. You are correct that the sooner the damage takes hold, the quicker people will realize it. But I’m not sure I can root for something that will cause a lot of innocent people to die and/or go bankrupt. TrumpCare will devastate a large number of his own voters, yes, but it will also take the lives of a lot of good Democrats as well.
Actually there is only one thing wrong with his comparison, it’s timing. Obama was popular before he left and Obamacare is popular now, when it has not been repealed.
Trump was unpopular before he was elected, he was unpopular after he was elected, he is unpopular now and he will be unpopular after he is out of office.
