Yep, we’re going to end up in a new Korean War, and Seoul is going to be dust, because this guy wants to prove his dick is bigger than his predecessors’.
And does anyone not think that the reason he used “this gentleman” is because he doesn’t know Kim’s name?
“We’re not like other administrations where they think things through in advance and they know what the fuck they’re talking about.”
If he says that, followed by “believe me,” I will believe him.
Fuck him. He’s going to kill all of us simply because of his insecurities about his member.
Hmm, he mentions Clinton and Obama, but I’m almost certain there was another president between them. If only I could remember who that was or how their North Korea policy worked out.
I think it’s rather that he can’t figure out why “this gentleman” changed his name in 2011. He obviously thinks that both Clinton and Obama were dealing with the same “this gentleman”.
trump, you could be outplayed by a 6 year old at checkers.
OT: It that one scary/scared looking Easter Bunny or what?
Great little segment from, believe it or not, CNN. The Art of the "Whataboutism"
He may not remember who was president in between—you know, the one whose administration saw NK perform their first nuclear test.
The most delusional thing about Trump isn’t that he says such nutty stuff, but that he truly thinks we’re actually being fooled by any of it. But in reality, Trump is the first one to telegraph everything he does and if you don’t know what’s coming next out of him it’s only because he doesn’t know himself and is just riffing on his shark instincts that have atrophied over decades of loyalists telling him what he wants to hear.
And so Trump and his fellow believers truly think they can bluff North Korea into obedience, as if nobody ever tried mentioning to them that America is super powerful at any point during all the decades this war has continued to go on. No, sir. Trump’s the first one to even think about it, while Hillary, Obama, Bush Jr, Clinton, Bush Sr, Reagan, and every other president since the 50’s just dicked around playing nice with them without mentioning that we can blow them up if we want.
So now Trump just has to bluff a bunch about how tough we are while mentioning preemptive strikes and that all options are “on the table”, and North Korea certainly cower in fear and not prepare for the thing they’ve been preparing for all these decades. Trump’s got it all figured out and amazingly, it was the first idea that popped into his head; just like all his other amazing solutions that never pan out.
Trump really knows his presidential history - of course hardly any republican ever mentions the Bush-Cheney administration. We didn’t see a major war with North Korea or major destruction in South Korea during the Clinton and Obama presidencies - and that was probably the goal - so how did we get outplayed? We had the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq under Bush1 and a multi-lateral war effort to free Kuwait - then we had 9-11 and the Iraq and Afghan wars under Bush2 (not to mention the crash of the economy). So who outplayed whom? It’s weird how republicans were not really enthusiastic about McCain or Romney but they voted for crazy-man Trump. Koch brothers: how did you let this happen?
North Korea isn’t right about much, but when they labeled John Bolton “human scum” and a “bloodsucker”, they pretty much hit the nail on the head.
W’s dealings is under phase 3.
North Korea ‘will test missiles weekly’, senior official tells BBC
North Korea will continue to test missiles, a senior official has told the BBC in Pyongyang, despite international condemnation and growing military tensions with the US.
“We’ll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis,” Vice-Foreign Minister Han Song-ryol told the BBC’s John Sudworth.
He said that an “all-out war” would result if the US took military action.

“But, you know, they’ve been talking with this gentleman for a long
time,” Clinton said. “You read Clinton’s book, he said, ‘Oh, we made
such a great peace deal,’ and it was a joke. You look at different
things over the years with President Obama. Everybody has been
outplayed, they’ve all been outplayed by this gentleman. And we’ll see
what happens. But I just don’t telegraph my moves.”
Because I have no idea what I am going to do, no plans I just act on instinct impulse. Just trust me.
He can’t stop campaigning, but putting down former presidents won’t repair his sinking poll numbers.
A real one note bore.
I can’t recall any other President engaging in such gratuitous cheap shots, so low they’d embarrass a grade-schooler. Not to mention he’s wrong on the merits.
I guess he still can’t get past the Correspondents Dinner, and probably never will.
Yep, He hopes there is peace, but will see what happens, and if what happens is a nuclear war, well, so be it.
"And when I don’t know what I’m talking about but need to say a few words because I’ve been called upon to sound presidential, I will end with ‘we’ll see what happens’ or its cousin ‘we’re looking into it.’ ’
Trump isn’t good with names. I’d like to see him try the name of the new President of Uzbekistan—who, by the way, is said to be much, much better than Karimov. I heard that the country is already more open, though I don’t know details, and that the economic growth is expected to be much better. I’m taking a trip to Uzbekistan for a conference in August (first time).
I mean, depending on whether there is a nuclear war, I am going.
The President’s name is Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by the way. A local commented to me, “too many 'y’s”. Definitely a “that gentleman” sort of name.
