Discussion: Trump Clings To Barr's 'Spying' Comment: 'It's Absolutely True'

Looks like itā€™s been a two milkbone day for the Trump Barrsett Hound.

In the same presser he also said that heā€™s not concerned about the ā€œMueller reportā€ (Barr ā€œSharpieā€ version of course) coming out because it fully exonerates him on collusion, obstruction, etc.

Yet he continues to accuse Mueller & his investigators as ā€œangry Demsā€ who are out to avenge and reverse the 2016 election in what amounts to a ā€œtreasonous coup attemptā€.

So, the people who despise and were out to get you fully exonerated you. How exactly does that work?

Do you remember when Bush administration was most hated administration in living memory?

If we only knewā€¦

Trump is the last dude Iā€™d want on my team. Barr has a hard enough job as it is walking the fine line between obstruction and coverup and doesnā€™t need Mr Subtlety jumping on his shoulders and yelling for him to giddy up and catch the posse thatā€™s still chasing him.

Barr likely only mentioned spying to make Trump happy and now heā€™s learning that when you give Trump an inch heā€™ll brag itā€™s a mile and demand that you make it so. Iā€™m sure heā€™s breaking out the scotch as we speak and wondering how he got into this mess.

Both Barr and Trump believe that they have plenty of evidence that ā€œspyingā€ occurred ā€“ Donnieā€™s own previous tweets.

This is all you need to know that the section of the Mueller Report around ā€˜collusionā€™ is devastatingly bad for Trump.

Keep in mind that what we saw yesterday was Trump talking through Barr. Barr is essentially John Barron.

Go ahead, blow this up - letā€™s see the FISA warrant.

Also, theyā€™re going to have a really hard time making any of these ā€œspyingā€ accusations stick in court. No grand jury is going to bring indictments if it was all done lawfully and accordingly to procedure and based on sufficient evidence that was lawfully and properly obtained, etc.

No, their way of getting back at the ā€œinvestigatorsā€, including not just Mueller but Comey, Strozk, Page, Rosenstein, etc., will be by trying to destroy their reputations, wear them down psychologically, and bankrupt them with legal costs. Thatā€™s Trumpā€™s classic MO.

Except, theyā€™re up against some of the best and smartest prosecutors and lawyers in the country, who are likely to get ample free legal representation, as they well should. Avenatti is an obvious test case, and perhaps Assange too. But theyā€™re going to try to broaden this as far as they can.

Do folks finally realize why we canā€™t wait till 2020 to take them down and that itā€™s delusional to think that we can and need only beat them politically and on policy, not legally too?

You guys scare me. The Bush Admin is STILL the worst. The reason why is precisely because they were so good at optics and knew where to attack, while Trumpā€™s a clown leading the clowns and gets angry if anyone tells him what to do.

I remember when everyone blogged with fake names because we didnā€™t want to have our lives ruined and TPM was just a dude we flocked to because the media was strictly Bush propaganda. I also remember how they lied us into a war and weā€™re still dealing with the tragedy in lost lives, money, and goodwill. And how they watched helplessly as our economy collapsed due directly to their dumb policies. Iā€™ll take the mildly dangerous clownshow over the Bush years any day.

Folks need to realize that what Trump is saying now is exactly what he said in March/April 2017 when Comey first revealed that Trumpā€™s campaign was under investigation. We didnā€™t have any evidence at the time. We do now. We have the Mueller Report which will detail the ā€˜collusionā€™. Trump canā€™t win this argument and he knows it. We need to demand his resignation.

I was a wreck during Wā€™s two terms. I was terrified of him and Cheney.

I am not afraid of this thing made out of rancid cheese that is squatting in our house and the oval office. I donā€™t even hate him like I did W. He just disgusts me.

ask him if the deep state was spying on the Clinton campaign as well,

if he says no, then ask why not,

if he says they were out to help her win, then ask why the head of the FBI threw the election to him by severely damaging his opponentā€™s campaign only days before voting when the same FBI director did not do that to the tRUmp campaign even though the deep state was out to get HIM

fucking definition of DOTARD

Speaking of spying, what do you have to say about Julian Assange?

Oh yeah. You love him. I forgot.

it is my opinion, poorly substantiated as it is, that had the Dem majority done due diligence post-Bush II and investigated and tried people for war crimes/torture, that this situation would not be possible right now

they fucked up looking forward and not back

you donā€™t keep kidsā€™ hands out of the cookie jar by ignoring their hands in the cookie jar, they just showed they were not up to the task of the icky part of their jobs

Typical.

The MSM is RUNNING with Barrā€™s blatant lie about ā€œSpyingā€, because they are too lazy to examine it and they too are now auditioning for the ā€œAudience of Oneā€ and his massive war-chest of campaign money.

So, the people who despise and were out to get you fully exonerated you. How exactly does that work?

Logic. It works by logic. The angry democrats are about to indict Obama counsel Greg Craig, so that proves it all, see? Close your eyes and sing la la la, and it all makes sense.
