Discussion: Trump Claims 'Mission Accomplished' In Syria, But Chemical Weapons Remain

the pummeling of three chemical-related facilities left enough others intact to enable the Assad government to use banned weapons against civilians if it chooses.

Nuff said.

Fun Fact: If Tomahawk missiles were used, the minimum weapons cost of the Friday strike would be $165 million.

Syria has been reduced to nothing more than a site for target practice…

By Vlad’s design …

When Russia is in complete control…
they will begin to ’ help ’ rebuilding …

But the whole exercise is designed to avoid sanctions …
Syria soon will be nothing more than a smuggling mecca …
designed to help Russia get another feeder line —

Vlad doesn’t care about a few missiles here and there…
and he sure doesn’t care about a few peasants …

He does care about donnie playing the game right though …

donnie’s MAD … yeah … he’s really MAD ! —

165 million is a small price to pay to demolish a few empty buildings (and distract the media).

Just thought I would add this.

barrel bombs are an easily constructed way of creating fear.
They’re typically built from oil drums, scrap metal, or rebar, and explosives, and they can cost as little as $200 to $300

“[T]he Trump administration has yet to present hard evidence of what it says precipitated the allied missiles attack.”

“[T]here were perhaps 50 warehouses in Syria that stored chemical weapons before the program was dismantled in 2013.”

“DISMANTLED IN 2013”!

So does or does NOT Syria have an ongoing chemical-weapons program?

The presumption in several articles I’ve seen is that it does. But no-one has adduced evidence on that point.

… the Pentagon said the pummeling of three chemical-related facilities left enough others intact to enable the Assad government to use banned weapons against civilians if it chooses.

They had to leave some intact just in case Chiselin’ Trump has another need to flex his muscles again.

Orange Orifice will come to regret having used this particular phrase.

We telegraphed our plans days in advance. They just moved and hid everything.

> TRUMP: “Could not have had a better result. Mission Accomplished!”

Translation: “By launching MASSIVE numbers of missiles at Syria I successfully distracted everyone’s attention away from Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohen, the Russia investigation, and especially that slime ball James Comey. . . . . didn’t I?”

Mission: To shoot 100+ missiles and blow up a few places.

Goal: Yeah, we’re working on that. We’ll get back to you in a week or two.

that’s out of context …

It’s missing the sarcasm —

That’s the cost of just the missiles. Still need to add in the costs of getting the delivery mechanisms in place, support ships, crews, fuel, etc.

Lets just round it up to a 1/4 billion dollar Dotard deflection.

And Monday morning, Mr. Mueller and the Cohen Collusion Cluster will still be there…

It’s going to be cheaper to let the cabinet fly first class…

Should we strike a bargain ?? … make a trade ? ? …

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
That’s rich and remarkably historically tone deaf, but you should never expect anything more than that from

Exactly what he derided Obama for, but Obama didn’t use it as an excuse for a military parade down Pennsylvania Avenue that he used to hype up his base.

Nah , the Mission Accomplished was Baby Grumpy dumping in his diaper .
