To say that tRump and the truth are complete strangers is a gross understatement. tRump is unable even to comprehend what truth is or is like, like the story of several blind men describing an elephant.
If Trump were wise, he would be profoundly grateful to the media. For the most part, for reasons good and bad, they’ve observed the Goldwater rule and not widely publicized evidence of his obvious deep mental illness. But he doesn’t do grateful.

What I’d really like to know is … what “people” is the media the enemy of?

I’d say we need a round of attack ads, to the effect that a vote for the Republican is a vote for two more years of identity politics and culture-war garbage. What’s his name seems like a nice enough guy, but he enables and empowers this rubbish by his very presence in the capitol. He needs to be thrown out whether he admits to agreeing with this nonsense, or not.

That it is a falsehood, vicious, dehumanizing and potentially encourages violence in others with tangible recent evidence of such, of course it matters not to him.

Does he really not know what the truth is or just not care? That’s what I wonder. I feel like he knows it’s a lie, and the three main reason he tells them is 1)to keep his base happy, 2)covers up the illegal stuff he does, and 3)cheats people out of money which is how he makes his money. I guess a 4th would be so he can fool around with other women beside Melania.

Trump and the truth are like two species that inhabit separate dimensions. Trump is a single dimensional liar incapable of understanding anything else. Whereas the blind men can still feel and understand that the elephant is a living thing and describe it in ways we would understand.
