Yet another Trump indictee.
A person with real legal experience, shocking? Know nothing about this guy but guess we’ll be getting all the dirt in the next couple days.
I have to say that with Barr and Rosen Trump has upgraded the quality of the lawyers he is hiring. We will know if Trump has hit on a plan when we start to see Mueller and the Southern District of New York stumble and fade.
If the Pumpkin Traitor wants him, he’s gotta be dirty.
Are those teeth real ?
Because you just can’t be paranoid enough with the Donald Treason Trump administration, my theory is that Barr’s first remit is to derail Mueller, shred whatever report he eventually writes, and shut down all the other federal Trump investigations. His second remit is to fire or otherwise get rid of all Justice Dept. employees with a shred of ethics and hire stooges to replace them who will then proceed to persecute all Trump’s perceived enemies. Rosen has been chosen for his loyalty to Trump and will execute Barr’s commands.
Given that a lot of Barr’s close family are lawyers in public service, I hope, Barr will think about his reputation, before doing something stupid.
I think Josh may have it right, that Barr is coming in to protect the Republican Russian party, first and last, and that if he helps the traitor it will be coincidental.
Given that Barr was personally interviewed and selected by Trump, my expectation (but certainly not my hope) is that Barr will think about doing something terrible (but not necessarily stupid) and do it anyway.
In his current post, the 60-year-old Rosen serves as the Transportation Department’s chief operating officer and is in charge of implementing the department’s safety and technological priorities.
Freeing up Elaine Chao to arrange grants and large contracting projects to Mitch McConnell’s political donors and cronies.
You mean like this guy?
CNN reports that McGaughey, the husband of Barr’s youngest daughter, has been hired as an attorney in the White House counsel’s office, where he’ll “advise the president, the executive office, and White House staff on legal issues concerning the president and the presidency.”
My fear is he won’t do anything stupid. He will derail investigations without appearing to do so.
Woulda been sensible to choose someone with DoJ experience but this is trump. Loyalty and a willingness to sign a NDA outweigh skill and experience.
My feeling is that Rosen is there to rat on Barr, who is old as GOP Establishment as they come. Much Whitaker was there to rat on Sessions.
So, zero experience as a prosecutor or in law enforcement? Just want Humpty Fata$$ needs right now.
Both AG and his deputy HAD to be questioned on their opinion or attitude toward the Mueller investigation. No matter their credentials or experience, will they stand up for Justice or for the Hulk in the WH?
Smart people should consider their future after Trump is gone in 2 years. If they choose loyalty to Trump their careers will be toast after 2020.
My bet is on Mueller. He will have safe guarded the results of his investigation thus far against all Traitor Trump’s obvious attempts to quash the entire investigation. “
“Murder will out” and “Truth will out,” I believe.
Rosen has 30 years private practice and a couple of years as DOT deputy, but zero law enforcement experience. He sure sounds qualified to be the #2 top cop for the nation.
At least he’s not a mediocre real estate lawyer.
