The Supreme Court Judges are supposed to be impartial. (even though we all know they’re not)

I’ve become addicted to these “popcorn moments”. At the end of the day, when Trump and Cruz are sleeping, and I have had my fill of every crazy thing they have said or done, I start to go through withdrawal. I could barely wait for Cruz and Trump to go after each other and take the crazy up a notch or two. I think I am going to need some kind of rehab when this is all over.

I think Roberts was confirmed by the Senate at least six years before Cruz got there.

Roberts took his seat on the Supremes bench in September 2005. Cruz took his seat in the Senate in January 2013, more than seven years later.
Trump just stepped on his dick here, and gave Cruz an opening to hit him over the head. Trump is much better when he sticks to content- and fact-free jibes about somebody’s energy and footwear. Once he tries to get specific, he’s completely out of his comfort zone.

Exactly. Roberts was nominated and confirmed before Cruz got to the Senate. And every Republican in the Senate voted for the guy. To pin Roberts on Cruz is delusional.
Trump just says whatever comes into his head, without any regard for whether it’s true. And to claim that, from the Republicans’ point of view, Roberts has been an “absolute disaster” is just ridiculous. As usual, Trump knows nothing about whatever he’s talking about.

PLUS he said he may bring suit against Cruz’ citizenship. That would undoubtedly end before SCOTUS. Way to screw yourself Donald.
