Discussion: Trump Chatted With Billionaire Kochs At Mar-A-Lago Saturday

Pay to play. It doesn’t get any more obvious than this.

And 45 personally pockets the change.

Is Bannon is pushed out, it means the Mercers are going to withdraw support and there is an opening for the Kochs. Trump needs the funding of some right wing billionaire or another – he won’t spend his own money. If the Kochs don’t jump on board, who is next to hit up?

Bottom Line: Quid. Pro. Quo.

I’m sure it was just lucky happenstance that they happened to be at Trump’s club, dining with Trump’s friend, on a weekend when the entire world knew that Trump would be there, and Trump happened to stop by.

Money = Access in Trumpland. He may as well charge admission. Oh wait, he does.

That’s the deep state. Billionaires sitting on patios talking about billionaire stuff, like family members who may squabble among themselves but will damn well come together if they’re threatened from the outside. The deep state is not some analyst sitting in a cubicle, looking through reams of information to discern interesting patterns. It’s the people with the money and the influence. They’re the people the President of the United States wants to impress and be accepted by. They’ll make him dance like a marionette. It doesn’t get deeper than that.

In this case, I think Koch is being courted. Of course, that will work out to be pay to play, so the result will be the same.

Hmmmm… If the Koch’s are being courted, that raises some interesting questions. I have a hard time imagining the Koch Brothers agreeing to anything where they are not in control of the operation and outcome. I also have a hard time imagining 45 understanding the nuances of how to control anything, meaning that he fundamentally does need outside support to comb his own hair. So, in this instance, who is who’s lap dog? Will 45 follow the Koch’s lead, or will the Koch’s climb on board the t rump train?

When will these Koch fuckers finally die off?

Soon enough, I suppose, they’re 76 and 81. But others will come along. Best we can do is try to de-game the system to some extent to give regular folks a few crumbs of control in return for their votes.

The Kochs haven’t been on Trump’s side and he needs to change that since he’s transitioning into the Establishment Republican column now. And there’s not really much light between him and the Kochs to begin with so there’s no need for horse trading.

But who’s boss? It doesn’t really matter because the end result’s the same. If I had to pick though, I’d say money talks and everyone else listens.

You mean he’s not really a populist who’s going to shake the system up to make things better for the working-class forgottentariat? Well huh. Gonna be a few surprised people in the Rust Belt. Don’t say we didn’t tell you so.

Switching back to the establishment approach to governing, time to refill the swamp.

Was the media able to get a photo of our so-called President kissing their rings?

Wait, you’re forgetting the real issue here. Hillary Clinton gave speeches to Wall Street. Sure, she charged her standard speaking fee and then donated it to charity, but, ya know, access and stuff and that just proves she’s going to be in the pocket of big business…
