Discussion: Trump, Carson Take Wide Lead Over Support In South Carolina, Nevada

Discussion for article #241779

White Republicans might like the shit Carson says but I find it hard to believe they’d trust a black guy with the reins enough to vote for him…just sayin’…

Over 50% of its members are supporting two anti-establishment candidates. The Republican party, as an institution, is collapsing. The Tea Party movement is about to triumph.

This is wonderful news for social and fiscal conservatives and for the Republican party. I am sure that Trump’s candidacy and outspoken conservative values will resonate with and re-energize the base.

It is also good news for the Democrats. Trump is articulate and quick and this will provide a great opportunity to contrast the Republican and Democratic vision for America.

The GOP base has finally given up pretending that they’re not racist by saying that they like Ben second best. He’s too politically naive and incompetent even for them. He will now disappear, much like Herman Cain.

Do you think they’d vote for a fucking lunatic who says gun control creates world wars before trusting a black like Carson? :smiling_imp:

Not sure who you’re speaking of, but some, yes!

Not necessarily. At this point Rubio is the only credible alternative to Trump. And Rubio’s campaign has been stuck in neutral since the start.

Trump at the top of the ticket probably means that the establishment won’t be able to weed out the no-hoper ‘I am not a witch’ candidates at the bottom.

Couple that with the first woman running as a major party nominee and the GOP looks set to go down to an epic defeat. They may even lose the gerrymandered house.

So its a bit like those times Riker gets to command the Enterprise and immediately destroys the ship.
