There were over 1000 people at the candlelit vigil last night to mourn the victims of this mass shooting. I am sure the majority are wanting to scream “Fuck you!” or “Liar!” at him if he visits their community. And he deserves nothing less, as do any NRA-sucking GOP members who send “thoughts and prayers” and who say it’s “too soon to talk about gun control after this totally-not-preventable tragedy”. You’ll see Trump and Scott and Rubio jacking each other off and praising the cops and faking their goddamned concern. Personally, I wish the people of Parkland would storm wherever Trump is appearing and drag him and Scott and the rest of them out into the street to hear their concerns about gun violence.

It will be very interesting to see how they orchestrate donald’s visit. He can’t wait too long (for optics), and the Parkland parents and survivors are very compelling.
Maybe the tide will turn in favor of gun regulation. donald also will need to 'splain his revocation of the Obama era prevention of allowing mentally ill to easily obtain guns.

These parents and kids have great moral standing right now. My hearts sink for them, and I would never tell them how to grieve. But I hope they leverage their moral standing for good. I hope the entire community lines the road to Mar-A-Lago in black cloth. I hope they turn their backs on him. I hope they scream and chant and charge the stage (if there’s not one this time, maybe next time he comes to Florida).
Lord knows, I can’t imagine the sadness suffered by the relatives and friends. But it is a gross insult for the Orange Monster to confront them with his evil face during their grieving.
