In Iowa, the president of the United States is calling the Democrats the “Dims” and acting in a very partisan and churlish manner fomenting hate and anger for much of the rally. Find a video of Trump’s inauguration pledge to unify the country and then play some of those unhinged partisan attacks. Come on Democrats, this guy is giving you the material, use it.

That region of Florida that was hit (and then the region of georgia and Alabama hit afterward) are deeply Republican and as such have made Trump their lord and savior and practically worship him. His response to the hurricane could be to fly over a crowd of them in a helicopter and piss on them and they would still cheer and applaud and talk about how thankful they are that Trump came to rescue them, even as they starve (and/or die from whatever diseases just got piddled on them).
And frankly that’s the entire base. Trump only plays for the people who will cheer for him, and the base would rather murder their children than admit that they were wrong, so it’s an endless feedback loop. It doesn’t matter how much the rest of us are pissed off.
