Discussion: Trump Campaign Not Running A Single Ad In Battleground States Yet

By all accounts he has no money to run any ads.

The only hope Republicans have is that Democratic voters will get complacent and stay home on election day. Which could happen.

tRump can’t finger out how to manipulate local media on a state by state basis. What’s a poor tyrant to do?

Campaigns and (and usually do) borrow money to run ads and do other campaigning stuff. He’s choosing not to do so, probably assuming the RNC will step in and do all that. Which, interestingly, isn’t happening …

Given his reputation for ripping people off exactly who’s going to loan him more money.

There may be an interesting angle to this.

The Trump campaign has borrowed money, $35 million, from the candidate himself (he has not actually thrown any of his money into the contest - he expects to get it all back). Perhaps, with his very well established record of stiffing creditors, and being only able to get credit from Deutsche Bank, he is unable to borrow the money!

(I see lafe19 and I were typing the same observation at the same time.)

To be fair, he’s got a rally scheduled for Talladega and he’s planning to chat with Sean Hannity later this week. Oh, and tweets…

No doubt, the RNC doesn’t have enough money either to run Rump’s campaign. Or, at least, not enough to run his campaign AND the down ballot races.

He could try LinkedIn…it is free, too… I can send him an invitation if he wants to…

And Donald Trump, alarmed by reports that Donald Trump rarely pays his creditors, is unwilling to lend any more money to the Donald Trump campaign.

Trump is counting on (and receiving) billions in FREE AIRTIME from the MSM and knows that to keep it going he just needs to be “controversial” at least once a day.
With whores like Moonvies and his ilk licking Trumps ass for ratings, it just might work.
Trump knows that “If it Bleeds it Leads” and will take full advantage.
“Ill Douche” knows how to play the MSM for the desperate rubes they are.

Except the old saying “all Publicity is good publicity” doesn’t really hold politics. Not to mention that 1/2 of his free air time is taken up walking back statements made during the other half.

Trump’s answer: “I haven’t started yet.”
Apparently he was counting on campaign-by-Twitter, airplane hangar rallies, and controlling his media coverage by banning anyone who dared criticize him.

Is a German bank allowed to lend money for a US presidential campaign when they know they may never get the money back? Isn’t that, in effective, a campaign contribution?

I’m betting HRC has all kinds of morsels like you suggest tucked away in her war chest…

Priebus told him to call 20 big money boyz and he quit after 3. He can’t stand hearing the word No. The writing’s on the wall, and not on the one he will never build. He’s going to go down. Hopefully, not before the convention where the bigwigs will try to plug in a replacement like Paul Ryan. Even the RNC makes the smallest mention on their website of their presumptive nominee who’s going to do the biggest infomercial of his life next month in Cleveland. One little “Join Team Trump” box to click that leads to a generic fundraising page. The rest are hard to find.
