“Although you should have indicted Hillary after your year-long investigation turned up no illegal email shenanigans, you can trust my word and close any investigation into my Russia ties, Mr. Comey.”

Why would Page have to “step down” from a campaign their communications director said he had no role in? This is what happens to pathological liars. They start to lose track of their lies.

Perfect. I was TRYING to come up with some concise way to say exactly that.

Asked for comment, The Trump campaign released the following statement:

Can you imagine if HRC and her staff had ties to foreign governments and debts in the hundreds of millions to foreign banks?

“As you may be aware, the source of these accusations is nothing more than completely false media reports,”

OK, pay attention kids. This is an actual example of “begging the question”. You know how we’ll know the reports were completely false? When the investigation is completed!

" he had chosen to take a leave of absence from campaign become the accusations were causing a “distraction.”"

Considering that the Republicans managed to turn a nothingburger issue about emails into a “scandal” worthy of hanging for treason, it’s not hard at all to imagine what they would have done if HRC had Trump’s skeletons in her closet.

Which is something that Democrats have no ability or interest in doing themselves.

In the film “Judgement at Nuremberg”, the way that Spencer Tracy’s character pronounced the word “guilty” to Burt Lancaster’s character (a character named Ernst Janning) was so chilling (especially when there was also a musical accompaniment of soft cymbals when Spencer said the word) that it was quite arresting.

GUILTY…"well, not really…I just want to take a few months off at this slow period to spend some time with my family. "

And “steps down” really has a nicer, Miss Universe feel to it…

How often is counterintelligence sanctioned by the government carrying it out?
