Discussion: Trump Campaign Adviser Says GOP Tax Overhaul Is 'Death To Democrats'

Ok, this joker is largely right on this specific topic. But Moore is consistently schooled by real Economists on TV all the time.

Angela Rye rips him good, here.

It’s official. We are now waging political war via the economy.

Stephen Moore is a soulless hypocrite who will do anything to prevent decent government from helping average Americans.

Like all far-right asshole conservatives, he hates liberals, education, and the ideas on which the nation was founded.

Yep, including a war on education. That will do wonders for the United States’ standing in the world.

Stephen Moore is an economist the way John Lott is an economist, which is to say that at some point fairly early in what was otherwise going to be an unrewarding and undistinguished career at the fringes of Academe, or maybe in some insurance company somewhere, these guys suddenly caught a scent of something hot and spicy in the evening air.

The world went still. They stood up on their hind legs and sniffed avidly, and began to follow the scent, and presently they realized that what they were smelling was the smell of money, wafting from a nearby Koch think tank.

One of the few real contributions Charles Koch has made to the nation’s economy, during the nearly-half-century he has spent using his inherited wealth to destroy our democracy through bribery and propaganda, is the huge side-industry in grift he has spawned, an industry that has given great wealth to individuals like Moore, Lott, Frank Luntz, Laura Ingraham, Dinesh D’Souza, Rich Lowry, Jonah Goldberg, et al—and all they’ve had to do in exchange for big Koch bucks is to spew lies (particularly nonsensical ones), to spew them around the clock, and to spew them passionately and shamelessly.

It’s a hell of a way to earn a living, but after all, Moore is far from the first person to discover that once you’ve actually gone all in and sold your soul to the Devil, you feel lighter without all the unnecessary weight of a conscience or intellectual honesty: plus, you can buy lots of great stuff with all that sweet, sweet money.

Republican congressmen in blue states will have a lot of explaining to do.

It’s also death - or the beginning of death - to healthcare, education, the middle class, the poor, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security…

“They go after state and local taxes, which weakens public employee unions. They go after university endowments…And getting rid of the mandate is to eventually dismantle Obamacare.”

Bertrand Russell:

“Advocates of capitalism appeal to the sacred principles of liberty, which are embodied in one maxim:
The fortunate must not be restrained in the exercise of tyranny over the unfortunate.”

He has a fucking MASTER’s Degree, not a PhD. I cannot find the video, but perhaps someone else can. During Reagan’s re-election campaign Convention, three dweeb assholes went on to the Convention Floor dressed like Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis in Ghostbusters to a blaring cover of the film’s musical theme called Fritz Busters. The dweeb in glasses was, I am fucking certain, Stephen Moore. Probably as a grad student.

So the tax code is all about one party taking its ire out on the other party and their constituents? Doing purposeful harm to union households, universities, etc? What’s amazing is Moore is willing to publicly admit it.

The “plan” is just terrible. And it’s set up for lots of people to see decreases in taxation through 2019, and then get hit hard later, when it’s someone else’s problem. So that could help the GOP politically next year, which is certainly one of its goals. For what it’s worth:

Hopefully while they walking out the door.

Stephen Moore is such a twit that he’s the walking embodiment of a Trump tweet.

I despise this giggling maniac.

Alternatively: “Fuck you, I got mine. Now it’s off to a job at Heritage or Fox News while you pick up the pieces!”
