Trump and Bondi are both professionals. There was no need for her to say it was a bribe when asking for a donation, and no need for him to say it was a bribe when giving it, and it would have been totally rude and insulting for either of them to do so. I don’t know if he gave her a cut rate on the Mar-a-Lago rent as a contribution or not (he charged her a lot less than he charged his own campaign, but he always inflates the prices his campaign pays him.) That’s probably also true with Greg Abbott of Texas, though maybe he or Trump would have felt the need to bring up the topic in the same conversation.
Hillary shaking down rich foreigners for donations for her foundation are a different case. It’s not a campaign contribution, and she’s not making a personal profit. It’s using her State Dept and ex-First-Lady contacts to get favors.
