Discussion: Trump Camp: The Protesters Are To Blame, Not Trump Or The Campaign

I believe Trump’s go-to phrase is “This is the first I’m hearing of this - I’ll have to look into that”

and the complicit media just gives him a pass and moves on…

When has any interviewer confronted Trump about his racist birther comments re: the President? Heck, not one member of the media has asked Trump about his “deep investigation” into the President’s birth certificate, letting him off scot-free. All along, the media have been in tacit approval of the racism exhibited by the entire GOP. At the most, they play a false equivalency card. But they never pin anything solely on the GOP. Even the absurd Clinton email story shows the media’s spin. Very little mention has been made about Condi Rice and Colin Powell having done the same thing Hillary did. Yet the articles only mention the (actually extremely remote) possibility of “indictment!”. Just today, Larry Sabato, a political commentator who tries to come off as neutral but who is very GOP friendly, (having received $7 million for his “Center for Politics” in earmarks funds from then-GOPer, now Constitution Party member and Trump campaign supporter, Virgil Goode) while analyzing the upcoming votes this week, “had” to mention the possibility of an indictment. Anyone who reads Sabato will notice that every article or blog he writes with reference to Clinton always includes at least one mention of “Clinton indictment?”

“Don’t Blame Me”

No Trump camp I do blame you.

I googled “The whole word’s watching” and found it. I had been in the crotch for two months and was wondering what in hell was going on back home. Watts riots and all that were coming down. Eighteen months of being a damn yo-yo for the schizoid politicians back home and if i lived I would be coming home to that shit? It was completely incomprehensible to me and in many ways still is.

They had better have an “open carry” policy at the GOP convention. Otherwise everything they pretend to stand for is a farce.

“We are told a 78-year-old man took great exception to this.”

This criminal old man waited and waited and then brutalized an unarmed, unaware, unprotected man in police custody with an elbow blow. He could have snapped his damn neck. Because he took “great exception” to the guy giving him the finger?

This is clear intent to harm. This guy should be sued in civil court for everything he has. Take away his retirement funds and see how he likes living on the social safety net.

Unfortunately, the Cleveland police have the clear potential to achieve the same level this summer as the Chicago police in '68.

No problemo! I’ve always considered it a form of folk theater, and that’s how you seem to regard it too, if I understand what you’re saying correctly. It’s just fun if you see it that way. And generally it takes a healthy ego to admit to those guilty pleasures.

You can read the comments by YouTubers and instantly identify the donald supporters.

Until tomorrow, which typically is another day, would you settle for Lewandowski? He’s got a complaint lodged against him that’s going through the system right now.

Yep. Folk theater, indeed. Also, it appeals to that desire inside of us all to punch our bosses in the face. Who hasn’t wanted to do that in their lifetime?

I should add I’ve got plenty of guilty pleasures I could admit to. This may not have quite the impact of pro wrestling but I played keyboards professionally for a few years in the early Eighties and I loved the B-52s. I could have lived that down, most people have a lot of affection for The B-52s, but I really didn’t think much of the Talking Heads. They just left me cold. And when I told people that I took a lot of heat for it. I used to argue that the B-52s were fun and didn’t take themselves too seriously and the Talking Heads were not fun and took themselves very seriously indeed in a way I found dreary and not fun. If I never hear one measure of “Burning Down the House” ever again in my life that will be ju-ust fi-ine. And I’ve watched COPS many a time if that helps.

The words “incredible” and “best” don’t appear at all, and none of the two appearances of “great” are used in reference to Trump. Somebody is going to get fired.

NO THANK YOU!!!111!!!

… everything old is new again?..

But think of how great it would be for the economy. All that police overtime and windows needing to be replaced!

I went to a WWF event something like 30 years ago, and the striking similarity I remember to The Rump Rally is how much scarier the crowd is than the performers. I was right in the middle of a group of diehard fans who really took it seriously, screaming “Get him! Kill that son of a bitch! Bust his head open!” Like they really meant it. And half of them were women.

… well, when you put it that way…

:grimacing:

… no… you really don’t…
