Discussion: Trump Camp Spins '2nd Amendment People': He Means Their Votes

His comment hypothesized about a post election scenario, so this spin makes no sense.

Voting would be the “horrible day” that Drumpf mentioned at the end of his call for HRC’s assassination? Spinning your tangled web rather badly, aren’t you?

Once the election is held their votes won’t count anymore.
And if Hillary wins by a large margin, they won’t be able to gather enough votes to do much.

“If she gets to pick her judges,” Trump said, “nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is.”

The Clinton campaign, meanwhile, in a statement from campaign manager Robby Mook, called Trump’s remark “dangerous.”

I can’t argue with Mook here. Trump’s base seems to be, shall we say, a rather excitable bunch.

It’s like he stole that “He Means Their Votes” from commenters on Wonkette, if Wonkette allowed comments that is.
:grinning:

And it wasn’t a sheriff’s star, either.

They know it’s bad if they’re already trying to spin it. The spin is transparently hollow and will keep the issue going. Earlier Trump might have gotten away with it. But since he’s falling in the polls and his instability has been made an issue this will be a big deal.

So, let me see if I’ve got this right: the 2nd Amendment people - who apparently didn’t get to vote on election day - will spring into action after Clinton names her judges? And do what, at that point? Engage in informational picketing? Write sternly-worded letters to the editor? Form human chains blocking access to the Supreme Court?

None of that makes the slightest bit of sense, so I’m going to stick with the first reading of Donald’s words: patriots with guns will kill Hillary Clinton. And with that it’s over to you, Secret Service.

Well he may have meant to shoot the judges, it isn’t clear, really.

Called it.

If he had went into depth with that statement, then maybe Jason Miller would have to had work for that money.

But Trump being vague meant the audience had to figure at what he was going for.

Mr.Trump just stepped in a pile of dogshit. It wasn’t really dogshit . It may have the texture odor and appearance of dogshit but trust us , Mr trump would never step in dogshit. That is just something that is brown looks, smells and feels like dogshit , but it’s not dogshit

Hey, hey, hey! - Don’t normalize. There was nothing remotely vague about what he said, or meant.

Beg to disagree

But let’s wait 48 hrs.

Even Jason Miller doesn’t believe that bullshit he wrote.

He is a lying POS. He knew EXACTLY what he was saying. It is OVER.THE.LINE. Any media outlet (I’m looking at YOU, CNN) that lets this slide should be relegated to a gossip site and have their credentials to report the news taken away.

…
Goddammit. This is a threat if ever there was one. Jail this sonofabitch!
This should end his eligibility dead in its tracks.

I just found this:

Presidents and certain other persons - See more at:

Trump has issued such a threat I believe. Time for my long awaited PERP WALK!!!

Don’t you see? The truth is, Trump is so stupid that he thinks regular citizens get to vote on SCOTUS nominees. He’s not dangerous, he’s just stupid! :smirk:
