Discussion: Trump Camp Says It Will Appeal Restraining Order Issued By Ohio Judge

Wait… He’s appealing a ruling that basically says, “You can’t intimidate or interfere with voters,” right? So is the appeal an admission that he had every intention of trying to intimidate or interfere with voters?

I would say Trump and his band of idiots believe they have a right to intimidate voters, especially minority voters. After all, they are certain they read it in the Constitution

This will get heard right away and it will be interesting to hear what the Trumpist argument turns out to be given what the restraining order is restraining.

This is truly a wonderful example of Trump’s Razor - this is possibly the dumbest thing he could do so he did it.

The Donald Trump campaign said in a court document filed Friday that it will appeal a restraining order issued by a federal judge in Ohio earlier that day. The order, issued by U.S. District Judge James Gwin, blocked the Trump campaign – as well as former Trump adviser Roger Stone and his affiliated group – “from conspiring to intimidate, threaten, harass, or coerce voters on Election Day.”

Well, who wouldn’t? Such an onerous, oppressive order by the Judge!

With Trump we can assume that appealing an order he doesn’t like is a knee jerk reaction. Usually, it serves the purpose of ruining the counter party via expensive drawn out litigation. Conway may not haven gotten around to explaining to him how this tactic will not quite work in this case.

You’ll notice the Clinton campaign is NOT appealing the order, despite the language which specifically applied to BOTH parties. Oh, gee, I wonder why ??

You’re ordering me to follow the law? I will have none of that. This cannot stand. I appeal. I have the right under the First Amendment to intimidate, threaten, harass, and coerce potential Democratic voters and all black, brown, and Muslim people, as well as the women who feel offended by things I have said and done.

When do the pollsters begin release the real poll numbers to save face and gets numbers that are kind of close to the actual result? Is it this weekend? Monday?

3/5 of a vote. Slaves were counted as 3/5ths of a person for the purpose of drawing congressional districts as a concession to the southern states which had large slave populations, but relatively few white male landowners, who where the only ones allowed to vote under the original ratified Constitution (also a concession to the Southern States as the original draft allowed ANY freeborn citizen of age to vote, both men and women.)

“Outside agitators.”

Time for some pay back.

It’s just barely possible that they’re going to argue that the judge doesn’t have the authority to issue the order, maybe because it’s changing the rules too close to the election, or maybe because Trump is a sovereign citizen and the flag in the judge’s courtroom doesn’t have a fringe on it…
