I´m convinced about the veracity of the claims of Trump´s serial sexual abuses. But the idea that Putin exerts any meaningful influence on a US election strikes me as silly, and no doubt an exercise in wagging the dog prophylactically before any Wikileaks revelations, with the added bonus of implying that Trump is un-American. Sadly, Trump is about as American as apple pie, as are his followers, whose opinions are the natural outgrowth of decades of diminishing economic prospects for the majority of people, along with decades of Fox News´ and the Republican Party´s race-baiting.
So don´t insult @darcy. You need his voice here, otherwise the comment section is in danger of becoming one big centrist Dem cheer-leading exercise.

The more likely scenario â and considering whatâs come out in the last few days itâs not too much of a stretch â is that Gilberthorpe witnessed yet another incident with Trump and a different woman.

Thatâs always what you two have been about, if indeed it is two of you.
His followers include people whose parents didnât think education was important, so they voted down every school bond issue while cheering the war in Iraq.
The others didnât have to worry because their kids were going to be just fine. But they still donât like paying taxes, while bitching about infrastructure, or maybe not, because they live in areas that get trashed by Mother Nature and they always make out just fine.
You talk to people here like weâre not aware of whatâs going on, but you push people like Sanders, who was a poor candidate.

This. It really is telling that this is so bogus. When he went with âbut it was she that was the one being flirtatiousâ that was classic. He could not just pretend it did not happen but had to turn it around with misogyny and make her the cause and Drumpf somehow the victim. That is the big tip-off that this is all another lie. It is to appease Drumpfâs base: It attacks the woman, make her the cause and defends Drumpf.
