Discussion: Trump Camp: Birtherism Was ‘Great Service’ To US, Trump Now Disavows It

Still blaming Hill for that?

Sad!

Whenever I read stuff like this, I keep seeing that little film clip where Donnie and his kids were given a multiplication problem to do in their heads- Donnie spouted out a wrong answer and refused to back away from his response even after it was shown to be wrong.

And that’s the problem – Donnie cannot be wrong, even when he is wrong. So he will never retract one damned bit of the garbage he spews out, even after it is proven to be incorrect.

“In 2011, Mr. Trump was finally able to bring this ugly incident to its conclusion by successfully compelling President Obama to release his birth certificate.”

What is this “ugly incident” is he talking about?

This is so despicably and disgustingly racist. And now he is leading in some national polls?

What have we become?

I can’t remember a time when I’ve been more depressed about the state of our media, and our country.
It’s still not too late for the media to do its job, rather than act like dogs under Trump’s table, waiting for the most recent scrap to hit the floor.
But time is running out.

This pattern of deflection and calculated self-aggrandizement is a hallmark of trump and demonstrates one of his greatest weaknesses. It is the antithesis of a vital skill every president MUST have; Diplomacy. Trump doesn’t have it. Period. Trump is a chump. Loser.

birth certificate,”

The Trump campaign is so clueless that they cannot even see how reprehensible this statement is. Trump “successfully compelled” the first African American President to prove he was born in the US. Nothing racists about that. A better question is why Trump even considered it an issue to start with. Probably because “Lots of people were saying it.” But then again, he doesn’t talk about that anymore, so it must be OK.

Seriously Donnie are you hoping everyone just forgets that after Obama released his birth certificate, you gleefully honked that you sent private investigators to HI because you claimed the released certificate was a forgery? And after a few months you again made a bid for attention claiming that “they found some really shocking evidence, really shocking. You won’t believe this evidence, it’s really shocking”?

Oh wait, yeah, the MSM will give you a pass on this, and you’ll still whine that they’re being mean to you.

Ted Cruz? Born in Canada and his dad was a corrupt criminal who fled Cuba or he’d be in jail.

Marco Rubio? Was he born in the US? Regardless - neither of his parents were US citizens when he was born. As the Republicans themselves call them…Rubio is their definition of an anchor baby.

Mitt Romney’s dad was born in Mexico…what about that!

John McCain was born in PANAMA!

2 of Trump’s 3 wives immigrated to the US and married him…Trump himself is an anchor groom. Do you really think Melania would marry such a creepy clown as Trump without the door to citizenship?

We need immigration reform…but not in the form of the totally hypocritical and racist ways of the Republicans!

Anything statement about what Trump feels that comes by way of a surrogate or spokesman is suspect. Until he says it, there’s no reason to accept what others around him say.

I think you’re giving Trump a little too much credit here. Even if he does say something himself, there’s no guarantee he won’t later change the statement, or deny having said it.

The Deplorables will think that Trump did the country a “great service” by working to de-legitimize a president. We read or heard that and thought “what a crock…” while the basket people heard it and thought “he should be rewarded.” We live in different worlds.

Remember when Quayle went to an elementary school classroom and misspelled “potatoe?” It permanently disqualified him as a serious, intelligent candidate. What has happened to this country?

Anyway, Trump is using a classic bullshitting salesman tactic. You take your product’s defects and proclaim they are advantages. That statement from his campaign makes me sick. It starts with the debunked alt-right claim that Hillary started birtherism, then ignores that Trump kept promoting birtherism long after Obama released his birth certificate.

LOL. But, but

He brought it to a CLOSE. He is a true CLOSER.

What a fucking reality challenged con man.

In some REAL news, Judge Gonzalo Curiel denied Trump’s motion to postpone the beginning of trial in Low v Trump University and set the trial date for November 28,

Not good enough. I want the candidate to say this and to admit he was wrong. I also want a unicorn and rainbow sprinkles on my ice cream.

Donald Trump and his band of goonies remind me of a bunch of kids my Mom used to babysit. Bait and switch. They loved to argue for the fucking sake of arguing – and they had to win. Nobody could ever “win” any argument or discussion with them because they set the “rules” of engagement – which changed to fit the narrative. This whole story, this whole discussion is nothing more than arguing with a bunch of entitled brats. Stop. Just stop asking them about birtherism. He’s already solidified his base. Anyone who is still “on the fence” about where President Obama was born is an idjit anyway and not worthy of discussion. Please, stop asking him and his people about bertherism … unless you’re wanting to waste valuable time. Thank you.
