Ah. Kellyann meant that Trump is violating the Constitution, but not any particular statute.

“the law’s totally on my side, the president can’t have a conflict of interest.”

Remember to use that one in your impeachment trial in the Senate.

Interestingly, it won’t be up to him to decide whether he’s breaking the law or not. More proof that he does not understand the job he will be taking in January. Save us all from ignorance.

Sen. Ben Cardin, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, plans to introduce a resolution calling on President-elect Donald Trump to take the necessary financial steps to ensure that he is not violating any constitutional limits on a president’s conflicts of interest.

…

The incoming Republican president “should convert his assets to simple, conflict-free holdings, adopt blind trusts, or take other equivalent measures, in order to ensure compliance with the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution,” states an announcement from Cardin’s office, which was shared first with POLITICO on Tuesday.

"All of those people protesting Trump are just sore losers, get over it! It’s fine, it’s fine!! You’ll see, he’s gonna make America great again!

“Thank God Crooked Hillary didn’t get in, who knows what kind of back door crap would have gone on during her watch!”

I don’t believe there’s anything in the Constitution that says a President may not perjure himself in a deposition. I do believe, however, there are quite a few laws lying around here and there about influence-peddling and the like. Not a lawyer but that’s my impression.

Frost:…Would you say that there are certain situations - and the Huston Plan was one of them - where the president can decide that it’s in the best interests of the nation, and do something illegal?

Nixon: Well, when the president does it, that means it is not illegal.

Well, that settles it! When KellyAnne Conway says he’s breaking no laws…it must be true!

Bwahaha! What a messy ship-of-fools!

Maybe if you paid her a nickel more than Trump is she would suddenly recall a reason political figures aren’t supposed to use their positions to benefit themselves financially. Until someone comes up with that nickel, though, we could remember that Dubya’s ethics lawyer says Trump’s already in trouble in terms of national security and other minor matters.

He told reporters on an update call Tuesday that he’d let Trump address those conflict-of-interest questions about his businesses himself.

How many days has it been since Trump held a press conference?
