Discussion for article #239785

This will only serve to improve Trump’s standing with the GOP base.

Did you notice how all the other reporters acted to support Ramos? Nah, I didn’t either.

Yep. As well as solidify the Democratic nominee’s win in 2016.

I can think of at least one instance where we would be assured of transparency by a Trump administration. His enemies list will not be a secret.

There is an interesting side story to this. Notice how the media is framing this story re: Ramos. Then look at how they essentially ignore it when similar events often spurred by Fox News occur at an Obama press conference/media interaction.

I like many of you have been subjected to Mr Trump theses last few weeks and the fawning the press both left and right have been doing, but is it only me that I hear and continue to hear him saying the same thing over and over again.Which amounts to nothing IMO.

ā€œGo back to Univision,ā€ Trump told Ramos.

I’m very impressed with the quality of Republican outreach to minorities and women so far this campaign. Keep up the good work, my friends!

Has anyone seen WWE wrestling?

The whole Trump Campaign is modeled after it . I fully expect some metal chairs to be chucked about at the next rally.

I have to admit it certainly is entertaining. I was transfixed last night watching him spar with Jorge Ramos and the whole Trump/Megan Kelly smackdown is being played by Faux and Trump for ratings.

Oh and it’s working . Wall to wall coverage on all the cable NOOZE shows. The whole hour of Rachel Maddow and a good portion of Mourning Joe, CNN prempting a Katrina special . They really can’t resist the shiny object.

Shades of John Cena Vs Jon Stewart indeed

Lately I’ve noticed you can’t make out what questions the reporters are asking!
Is this by design, or are the folks in charge of these press conference’s too cheap to provide a mike for those asking the questions?
What’s the sense in having a press concert if the only thing you can hear are the candidate’s answer?

It would have been nice if they had all gotten up as one and walked out, but I think a lot of them are afraid of Trump the bully.

I don’t know about you, but I am frightened that this fascist might actually win the election.

And yet, according to the AP wire story this morning…
ā€œIsaac Lee, chief executive officer of Univision, responded to the confrontation with a written comment: ā€˜We’d love for Mr. Trump to sit down for an in-depth interview with Jorge to talk about the specifics of his proposals.ā€™ā€

More shenanigans?

Did they rehearse the ejection before the presser?

Yup… they need 45% of the Hispanic vote in order to win and Jeb! is closest at 17%. Everyday in every way they shrink their numbers even more.

Solidify what he already has, the support of biggots and racist cowards that all they know to do is line up behind a bully. Because it’s so much fun to go around bullying people, especially when the other is doing it for you.

I know the MSNBC reporter called Trump on it when it was her turn. I think a few did. Trump then allowed him back in and did it in his usual way, saying he didn’t throw him out, yada, yada.

I had been thinking exactly the same, his campaign is to politics what WWE is to wrestling. I’m baffled by the number of people that take this buffoon seriously.
Perhaps his followers are the ones who think that WWE is actually wrestling.

Booting an extremely popular and much loved national press anchor from a press conference is swill for Trump’s odious screeching followers but will probably result in thousands of new registered Latino-American voters and increased rage among the Latino community which is already fleeing from the Republicans at alarming rates. At this rate, Latinos will have a higher voter turnout than African-Americans and their support for ABTR (Anyone But The Republican) will be huge…or as The Donald would say, ā€œYOOOOOOOOOGE!ā€

Further, I find it amusing that conservatives are feigning outrage over Ramos’s supposed rudeness, given that it was conservatives who championed and cheered for the Bagger loudmouth Republican Representative that yelled out ā€œYou lie!ā€ at President Obama during the State of the Union Address. They whine now after they ushered in the era of vulgarities and unabashed rudeness and bigotry. Clutching your pearls while now feigning outrage is so precious…so really, really special.

Yes, that was surprising…but then again, maybe not. I’m giving the Trumpet too much credit but his actions against Ramos have effectively frozen all the media folks. Think about it: by kicking him out, Trump has sent a message to all the reporters that I’ll do this to you too if I don’t like you, your questions, your attitude, etc.

Those reporters are terrified that if they trip him up, they will be banned from future events and may lose their job due to their inability to cover Trump. Face it, even those reporters need a paycheck. It’s a brilliant stroke…or maybe just a lucky coincidence. I will say this: if this action plays well with Trump’s idiotic base, watch for him to expel more reporters in the future.
