Is it possible that Trumpmentum is starting to wane? As was pointed out recently, it’s pretty obvious that Trump doesn’t actually want to be POTUS, so perhaps he is engaging in a bit of self-sabotage. Or perhaps his shtick is just getting old.
The recent Club For Growth oppo ad shows him saying he probably identifies with Democrats and this crowd knows that.

“Value” voters is a meaningless term if you think about it. They say they value the family, marriage and stability but get divorced all the time (in some cases after beating their spouses in front of the kids) and oppose marriage between those of the same sex, and would deny a stable home for a child merely because the foster parents are of the same sex. They would split up families of immigrants in a callous manner. They say they are “pro-life” while supporting the death penalty and making excuses for the unequal treatment of people of color by law enforcement in matters of life and death.
Let’s just call the so called “values” voters summit by the name of those it really represents- the intolerant homo-xenophobic hate voters summit.

Rubio got a huge bit of luck thrown his way, by having the Boehner news come across while he was speaking. Even though he had nothing to do with it, because he was the one delivering the news, he will be forever memorialized as the one who got rid of Boehner.
That’s how the GOP mind works.

Man, not as much of a negative audience response as the headline would have you believe. Within a half a minutes he gets applause for going after Rubio on immigration.

Well, yeah, nobody threw a shoe or anything, they didn’t chase him out of the building. And for his die-hard supporters he could probably strangle a puppy up there and get away with it. I figure these people were a general conference crowd, not at the event just to see him, and they picked his session because they’re curious in a generally positive way. And I thought it was interesting that they turned on him for an insult against an establishment guy. What’s it mean? I guess you’d have to ask the crowd and I’m sure somebody has. I just like it when Trump gets booed, I guess.

Trump later said that he reveres clowns. His father was a clown. His whole family are clowns.

This guy Trump just never became an adult. I think he can’t see how much of an asshole he is. What bothers me is his followers can’t see it either. The man does not know how to be civil.

He is on a downward slide as is Carson. I’m thinking he has used the insult schtick too many times and now only has the base to insult and they don’t like it. Without that fringe rank and file he is nothing. He offers hate of the “other”. He offers no details on policy, just sound bites and “managers” will solve everything. Even the fat, white and stupid are seeing thru this act.
