Discussion: Trump Blames Obama For Brexit Vote, Says He Predicted It

Yeah Drumpf, real presidential of you, to suggest that that the President of the United States shouldn’t weigh in on matters of international finance.

“When I’m president, we will curl into a ball and retreat into a corner with our guns and racism!”

Scotland voted to remain in EU. So there’s that.

Also interesting that he “blames” Obama for an outcome that he simultaneously praises.

Is there evidence that President Obama is not well liked? Like protests, Mexican flags, editorials, etc? I may have missed them - I am trying to cut down on CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc; neighbors don’t like me yelling at the tv.

Press coverage on Mr Trump has been extensive. Should be easy for him to quote chapter and verse when he made a public prediction regarding the outcome.

I was just going to post that: 55% to remain , 45 % to leave in Scotland

Just shows Trump’s grasp of facts, I guess…

The world’s BIGGEST bullsh-tter has demonstrated yet again how little he knows, especially about foreign affairs.
“Just arrived in Scotland. Place is going wild over the vote. They took their country back…”
Scotland voted massively to REMAIN in the E.U.–almost 2/3 of the Scottish vote, the highest REMAIN vote in all of Great Britain.
If I didn’t know how much Scotland already hates this a-hole, I would tell them to keep him there.

So the Prime Minister of England invites the President of the United States to address his people on an issue, and when the President does it Trump thinks it is inappropriate.

But when a candidate for president of the United States tweets his position on that issue without invitation, that’s appropriate. And then travels to Great Britain and gives a press conference about the issue after the vote, that’s appropriate.

Exactly. Someone should tell Trump that they’re not outside his window waving pitchforks and torches because of the election.

This, from the guy who criticized London voters’ choice for mayor.

Can’t remember where I saw this, but it really is true: Trump is like the anthropomorphic personification (in a Terry Pratchett kind of way) of the comments section.

Doesn’t it look like he timed his visit to Scotland to coincide with the Brexit vote? He wanted to get maximum attention afterwards.

Usually attempting to have your cake, and eat it too, is a failing proposition, but here, Drumpf manages the difficult with ease. All that’s required is a suspension of the rules of logic.

A month ago he didn’t even know what “Brexit” was.

He appears to be a fast learner, or maybe he’s simply a liar.

"I was surprised that President Obama would come here and be so bold as to tell the people what to do and I think that a lot of people don’t like him and I think if he had not said it I think your result might have been different,” Trump told reporters.

Well, thank God in future we’ll have you instead, who’s known for your tact and well-researched commentary in matters of great import.

/sarcasm

Seriously, does he honestly think one Briton, upon hearing Obama’s option, decided to switch their vote from Remain to Leave?

He thought they were inviting him to roast marshmallows.

Well that was quick.

I knew Republicans would eventually blame Obama, I just figured they’d at least wait until the beginning of the business day at 9 am to get started.

Trump must have felt pressure to get their first.

I saw on television earlier that NONE of the British or Scottish leaders wanted to meet with Trump.

They all realize he’s a fool.

Complete babbling idiot. Scotland voted overwhelmingly to remain in EU.

Typical 20-20 hindsight Trump response. Mr. Monday Morning Quarterback. Mr. Armchair General.
