Discussion: Trump Blames ‘Bad Environmental Laws’ For California Wildfires

The water that goes into the ocean supports the fishing industry. No fresh water, no salmon industry.

More pollution in air would mean less oxygen … fires need oxygen … therefore reducing polution encourages fires.

Of course it’s not (my folks live on Lake Michigan). But do you really think that we wouldn’t destroy the whole system if Lake Michigan was drained? Which is why the Canadians, thank Dog, have a say even over Lake Michigan…

If you believe the DOTARD on this one, then you’ll believe all of his claims that no one in his campaign or administration ever met with or talked with the “Russians”. Trump can’t remember what he said yesterday let alone able to understand the complex physics and biological changes taking place due to human induced climate change! What a complete DOTARD!

Fake Environment! Sad…

No, it’s aliens. From Mars. Better get that Space Force mustered ASAP!

Sadly, if he announced that, most of his cult members would slavishly agree.

This may be the single stupidest thing the shitgibbon has ever uttered and man, is that ever a high bar…

Atlanta should be grateful Trump doesn’t proclaim CNN is responsible for the fires.

Trump added that his comments were in the tradition of great Republican environmental presidents like Theodore Roosevelt. “Most people don’t know that Roosevelt was a Republican, like me,” he commented. “He wasn’t responsible for socialism in America; that was the responsibility of his son, Franklin. My environmental record is better than Teddy’s. Polls prove it.”

Well they have discovered water on Mars…

Not as much water there as you might imagine - the “great” lakes are not so big … they are all about 35 feet deep - have concrete bottoms and drains in every 1.5 miles … all constructed in the 1930s by the WPA. Until then they were the “just OK lakes”

Oh no, he can say much more stupidest things. We’ve have yet to plumb the depths and breadths that the Trumpster has, it’s an untapped resource.

Boy is he SMART! Only all-powerful TRUMP has the answers- to questions no one posed.

Register people to vote. There is a Federal Voter Registration form you can download and use in all 50 states and US Territories- https://vote.gov/files/federal-voter-registration_1-25-16_english.pdf. Print out a bunch and keep them with you. Register people on the spot!

If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led voter-run-around campaign help them do that. This site, https://www.aauw.org/resource/organize-a-voter-registration-drive/, has a how-to on organizing a voter registration drive. Or even sitting outside Wal Mart with a folding chair and a card table. Yes, that’s the American Association of University Women.

And while we’re here organize a League of Women Voters chapter in your community if you don’t already have one. Fair, honest and above board. Democracy functions better with them involved.

Civics, civility and civilization all share the same roots.

Not sure where you got that. Here are a few fun facts:

– World’s supply of surface freshwater in the Great Lakes: 20 percent.

– Gallons of fresh water: 6 quadrillion (22.7 quadrillion liters). Enough to submerge the entire continental United States in nearly 10 feet of water.

WRT average depths:
– Lake Superior: average depth is 80.5 fathoms (483 ft; 147 m) with a maximum depth of 222.17 fathoms (1,333 ft; 406 m).
– Lake Michigan: average depth is 46 fathoms 3 feet (279 ft; 85 m),
– Lake Huron: average depth is 32 fathoms 3 feet (195 ft (59 m)), while the maximum depth is 125 fathoms (750 ft (230 m)).

What you say might be true of perhaps the two smallest ones Erie or Ontario (I got tired of research), but those surrounding my home state of Michigan are more than your contention.

What a stupid fuck. He’s supposed to be criticizing environment regulations limiting timber harvests on Forest Service and BLM land. He must have watched the wrong Faux News segment.
