You probably read about Merkel having to explain to him literally a dozen times in one conversation that she can’t make a unilateral trade deal with the U.S.; they’re in the EU and have to do it collectively, that’s what the EU is. He’s both ignorant and stupid. So you get these stories. And you try to stay sane. Oh, and good morning, all, it’s another day in Trumpmerica.

The facts seem to indicate that the central premise in Ms. Omarosa Manigault-Newman’s book Unhinged is spot on right. The complete ignorance and mental decline into rabid dementia is apparent. Usually, cognitive reserve helps slow decline. Unfortunately, he has no reserve as the spawn of two violent Klan thugs and years of being his own son-in-law and a sexual predator have accelerated his decline.

They got their tax cuts, and more are coming. Their campaign contributors in industry are happy. The DoD is getting money shoveled to them in amounts they can’t spend fast enough. Black and brown people are being oppressed, persecuted and killed. I think GOP leadership is so damned overjoyed that Trump’s foibles are minor distractions in the grand scheme of things.
