Discussion: Trump Bemoans Attacks That Halted Midterm 'Momentum'

“We did have some stop the momentum that was incredible because for seven days nobody talked about the election to stop the momentum,” he said at a campaign rally in Missouri. “More importantly, we have to take care of our people, and we don’t care about momentum when it comes to a disgrace that happened to the country, but it did nevertheless stop a certain momentum but now that momentum is picking up.”

I tried running this through Google Translator. I ended up with an on-line auto mechanic trying to sell me muffler bearings.

Trump’s crowd must be pretty smart, they can understand it ! (I think)

“I hate it when bombers and assassins get more attention than me,” he added. “I mean, what do I have to do? Kill somebody?”

It’s one thing to be an insensitive fool, it is another to put it so proudly and arrogantly on display.

Translation: I had to send more troops to the border trying to get attention back to my fake crisis from actual crises. Sad!

Between now and Monday look for some sort of Hail Mary. One that makes the last month of xenophobia look tame by comparison.

Not snark: Trump would love to have DoD mow down a few hundred migrants. Not for any political benefit. Just to satisfy his sick bloodlust for brown and black people.

Trump you can hang your political success up, after November 6, 2018!

All of your stupid ideals and racists policies will be challenged to the fullest extent and you will LOSE!

Here’s the playbook. Legally challenge each and every House investigation and subpeona. Refuse to send administration reps to testify. Assert Executive privilege and reveal nothing. Live with the fact government will likely grind to a halt, due to the chaos in the courts and the public square. Then, in 2020, campaign on the need to re-elect Trump, and a GOP Congress, because obviously the last two years of hell has been the result of a Democratic House more preoccupied with crucifying Trump than governing at a critical juncture in our nation’s history.

L’état, c’est moi! MOI! MOI! MOI! MOI!

I can think of eleven people, their families, and their community that lost a little more than their momentum. What a dick.

Yea, coded language from the Monster-in-Chief to tomorrow’s monsters, who are about to prey on all that is good. Five more days of crisis environment.

I went and voted yesterday and there was a brisk turnout of voters there. All the campaign signs were posted on the fence outside of the parking lot. No gun waving fools anywhere. My wallet had gone missing but my signature and word got me a ballot. It is nice to still have a name.

Meanwhile back in Puerto Rico some 400+ days since they had full power but what the hey, there is plenty of money to send another 5,000 soldiers to the border for a nonexistent invasion.

It fell out of your pocket down at Brad’s Brass Rail. Your extortion is on the drawing board.

Is this even true? I thought Josh was saying the “Kavanaugh Bump” was more of a media construct than a statistically significant movement.

Actually I lost it mountain biking and someone found it and saw my ATM card and took it to my credit union who called me to come pick it up. There are still lots of good people who do the right thing.

I do the right thing in those situations also. Mainly because I’m hoping it’ll result in some rich person putting me in their will, but still, points for helping out.

But most likely I’ll end up shot and floating face down in some rich old lady’s pool, narrating and lamenting my wayward ways to everyone from my afterlife.
