Yes, embrace Trump, because 2018 will be just like 2016…waste your money, GOP, and hopefully you’ll be crying next November.

The two GOP candidates with the most votes, together don’t get anywhere near what Casey got. Granted this is not the statewide result but considering how other special state elections have gone, I don’t see the GOP candidate upsetting Casey, IMHO.

Not to count chickens before they hatch…PENNSYLVANIA, LET’S WORK ON GETTING RID OF TOOMEY!

Would love to get rid of Toomey but we have to wait another four years to do it - he’s not up for reelection until 2022…

Bob Casey has to be the luckiest man alive - he rode into the senate during the 2006 blue wave, won reelection during Obama’s 2nd victory in 2012 (PA Dems are notorious for sitting out non-prez years…) and now he returns to the ballot during another blue wave year.

Oh, I know when Toomey’s term ends. It’s just that I want him to have the same glorious ending Santorum had…losing by 30+ points. That would make my day. It is never too early to strategize. The PA Dem party needs to begin building to strength and become proactive rather than reactionary. In a number of ways he’s worse than Santorum. Santorum was simply ignorant and divisive. Toomey is slick, knows how to play a better game than Santorum, but also do far worse legislatively. If PA had not been used so badly by GOP women who changed their tunes at the last minute, there would have been a better outcome in the election for Hillary and the country as well.

I understand Barletta has been cordially invited to drop by the Let It Bleed tattoo shop, 212 W 21st St, Hazleton, PA for 10% OFF his ass tat.

No appointment necessary.

I get yelled at when I point things like that out.

Republicans have already privately worried that the divisive Barletta, like Trump an immigration hardliner,

Well, with an Anglo-Saxon name like Lou Barletta, you can understand his adherence to the old time traditions and xenophobia.

You could say the same about a family originally named Drumpf.

I gotta say, the Dems had a near perfect outcome in the PA primaries. We’re gonna beat the f**k out of the GOP there this fall, and I do think there will be a ripple and demonstration effect across the country. Getting that many women nominated is going to dramatically define our brand. It isn’t just about a blue wave, but a wave of women (pink wave?) becoming politically conscious and picking a side, the Democratic Party. We are looking at getting over 60% of the female vote. Women generally represent more than 50% of the electorate in most races that I’ve observed. You’re not going to lose too many races when you get those kinds of numbers among the female demographic.

Luck is the product of lots of hard work. Casey is also a helluva savvy pol.

Yep. There’s a reason Toomey is the darling of Wall St. “Moderate” my ass.

“Trump-Backed Barletta Underperforms In Pennsylvania Senate Primary Win”
is an uncleverly slanted title considering the article reports Barletta won the primary with a 59-41 landslide victory.

As the noted Italian philosopher St.Tomas Lasorda said, ‘The harder I work, the luckier I get.’
