I think Trump’s tweet regarding pardons was more a signal to anyone who might be thinking of testifying against him.

The President’s lawyer might well argue that they have had and continue to have not-conversations about pardons because there’s—drumroll please—ta da! Nothing to pardon! Everything’s ju-ust fi-ine in legal jeopardy terms. No problemo. We cool. But I wonder.
