Discussion for article #240020
Oh, my!
Keep whacking that Bush!
Pass the Popcorn!
This battle is just getting started…
The best thing about all of this is it won’t end well for republicans. It looks like it’s going to be Rubio or Kasich when all the dust has settled
Can it be that none of them make it through this? I’d rather see a large wheel of aged parmasan get the nomination before any of these fuck-knuckles.
That was a hell of a scathing attack on George W. Bush.
Trump really blasted the Bush family this time.
God, I love this.
Welcome to the new reality show "Last Candidate Standing!"
It really is easy to see how Trump is so popular, if you actually understand why so many “conservatives” vote Republican. It’s not because they’re really conservative at all, but because they hate liberals, period. I’m not talking about the bulk of the party, but just the ones that like Trump.
They don’t really like Wall Street, rich people not paying taxes, low wages, or religion. They just hate liberals more than anything, and will often attack liberals as being the rich elite that’s laughing at them while propping up black people and Mexicans using white people’s money in order to stay in power. And basically, it’s the talk radio crowd that should vote Democrat, but were convinced by the radio talkers that Democrats are who is holding them back. Name a problem, and they’ll swear a Democrat caused it; even on issues that Democrats want to fix. Because to them, if a Democrat wants a policy they agree with, they assume it’s a trick and refuse to consider it.
And for me, the upside here is that these people should never have been conservatives in the first place. They’re centrist-liberals who hate liberals for personal reasons. And so the more Trump can lead them like the Pied Piper away from Republicans and their policies, the better. When the debate is Obama and Pelosi versus any Republican, they side with the Republican out of spite. But the longer the debate stays as Trump versus Republicans, the more they’re going to see that Republicans are worse than the Democrats.
JEBBER=JABBER…Hillary sends you her regards and a BIG XOXOXO to Donald.
SISTER-IN-LAW…Really George, HEY cowboy, you can pick your friends but ya can’t pick your family…EXCEPT in this case…George picked Hillary for his SISTER-IN-LAW
TWO BIRDS ONE STONE.
“G. W. Bush had called Bill Clinton his “brother from another mother” and Crowley asked him what that made Hillary Clinton.”
Understandable since both have been President. But of course both Jeb and Donnie take comments out of context for their childish ads.
Jeb! is falling in the polls like a folded up duck (that’s a birdhunter’s allusion) so Trump is pulling out all the stops to marginalize and maybe knock him out of the race early - despite the incredible cash trove Jeb! has already socked away.
We’ve seen this ugly scene in the movies when the bully continues to beat someone to a living pulp well beyond anything remotely necessary.
Sometimes the pulped-one recovers later in the movie and enjoys vindication or the last laugh. At this point Jeb! can only HOPE that’s his script.
there’s a healthy dose of admiration for the bully… and trump provides that in spades. he’s unapologetic, aggressive, and beholden to no one. how the disconnect between him and his followers for his support for single payer healthcare and his targeting wall street for increased taxes plays out will be interesting.
i’ve been shocked by what a dreadful campaigner jebbie is; although he does appear to be getting his footing these last couple of days. too bad the meme is already established; and he’s close to being written off as a loser…
You nailed it. Trump is decimating the GOP. Since the base has been unable to win any battles against the Democrats (midterms-blah, blah blah) they have turned on the only people they are capable of hurting, the Republicans. Trump is using all the tricks of the right wing machine against the right wing machine and he is succeeding.
When Herman Cain said: “I am the Koch brothers’ brother from another mother and proud of it.”
He was actually stealing that line from George Bush? Sad that the GOP candidates are so devoid of any original ideas they have to resort to stealing such pathetic material. I think we should have a contest and see who can pick the day Trump drops out. Hopefully, it won’t be for at least another month. Finally, I can enjoy watching some GOP attack ads.
Great ad. Trump says it like it is. No mamby-pamby Luntz focus group-generated conservative code words from him. That’s refreshing. You know where he stands on the issue.
John Bush is a snake in the grass. Sleazy, slimy and untrustworthy.
You have to hand it to Trump. He is lightning fast with his responses to anyone questing his gravitas. As a Democrat I like Trump’s quick responses and wish Democrats would respond to the GOP just as quickly.
I will egg him on as far as he keeps destroying the GOP but if he is the GOP nominee and going against a Democrat, well thats where we part ways.
Formidable.
Who is managing Trump’s campaign?
