GOP leaders in both chambers know fully well that Trump is going to sign anything they put in front of him and throw a huge party celebrating.
The smart play is to ignore all Trump tweets and in response to any questions simply say: we’re working very hard to write an historic bill will pass both chambers which will require compromise from all quarters.

I read that this brought in 1.5 billion, with an average penalty of about $200 from about 7.5 million taxpayers. Is that going to be enough to make a difference overall (or just for the 7.5 million)? Or, to be more realistic about it, how much will that be able to lower the tax burden on the top 1%?
