As I once heard said about Dick Cheney, if he was on fire by the side of the road, I wouldn’t stop to piss on him. Deplorable? Clearly. I prefer “despicable.” Now, he has every right to decide who attends his rallies, but I’ve got some hot news for him; were he ever inaugurated (heaven forfend), he would not be permitted to legally exclude anyone based on their beliefs. Ignorance reigns at the most basic levels.

Actually, these people are also opposed to public education. My nieces were homeschooled by their rightwing, christian parents to avoid the “contamination” of exposure to public schooling. One eventually went to college and became quite articulate. The other, although intelligent, has the vocabulary and English skills of a four year old and is unable to separate fact from nonsense. I’m not even sure if the idea of an independent reality (apart from what she hears in her circle) is a concept she understands.

This is so richly ironic. If they were to actually throw all the “non-Christians” out, all that would be left would be non-Christians.
(I.e., the honest atheists would be gone, and the true Christians would leave in solidarity.)

Yes, I get that they were going for the clickbait and playing to the “ban the Muslim” sentiments, but let’s be honest. In fact, the truth is worse! There are plenty of Christians that are not “right-wing-fundamentalist-conservatives.” In addition to the actual non-Christians. So, that swath he was cutting was actually much wider than the headline implied.
