Discussion for article #247513

Trump: Both columns are identical in nature as we both outsourced to the same outfit in India. We saved tons of money and people got to read whatever they wanted to read.

Well this will certainly doom his candidacy.

In my former profession plagiarizing another’s work was tantamount to the end of one’s career. For Trump it will be a highlight. No honesty or ethics is observed anymore.

Trump: “I bought Ben - now I own him and everything he’s ever done”

Dr. Carson: “He have candy on his desk. mmmmm…”

Off topic for a second. Bear with me.

TPM,
WOULD IT BE TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR YOU TO FIX YOUR COMMENTING SYSTEM?

Thanks for your time…

I remember when that happened. I recognized the words immediately; I have the album and listened to it religiously as a kid. Still listen to it on occasion. It was the most surreal feeling.

Next we’ll learn that the pyramid on the back of the US Dollar has grain under it and that the eye is actually Ben Carson’s sans his eyelids.

I thought Carson and Armstrong Williams had a falling out after Carson came to realize Williams is a con man.

Bigotry, hate mongering, inciting violence, racism…
Plagiarism? Ho hum!

His supporters don’t mind if he is a loud mouthed bigot, in fact they like it. Why would plagiarism bother the otherwise morally inept at morality?

Even my 7th grade students can plagiarize better than that.

Except, this isn’t plagiarism. Both op-eds have the same author, and the author’s name is neither Trump nor Carson. Likely, somebody working for Carson’s campaign wrote the first op-ed for publication under Carson’s name and then, after Carson endorsed Trump, lightly edited it for publication under Trump’s name.

In business terms, Trump didn’t steal the words. He completed a takeover of Carson and then rebranded the words.

Well, we better check the deal Hair Drumpf made with Carson. Maybe Donald bought the copyright to all of Carson’s writings in addition to his soul.
