Discussion: Trump Appears To Be Making Up Polls To Show Post-Debate Momentum Now

sorry to FIRSTPOST with this but someone please talk me down from the ledge after reading this:

(I assume MM is trying to light a fire under people like me to donate/volunteer/talk to friends/family)

Awesome! Let him keep thinking he won. That means he won’t do anything as stupid as “practice” for the next debate. Why should he? He won!

It’s OK, he didn’t know if he was 10 points up or not.

Desperation will make you do funny things, and not ha-ha funny either.

If Moore were saying this aloud, I’d think it’s because he likes the sound of his own voice. Do not, repeat, do not take any of it to heart. We cannot let one man’s opinion influence what we know in our hearts to be true and we also know why. The facts are on our side. T has no black voters, no Muslim voters, no women voters, no college educated voters and almost no Latino voters (who I hope will finally turn out). Clinton will win.

This is a good thing. His people will feel over confident. Keep it up.

It’s obvious, as with Reagan, Bush, Christie, Ryan…

Whatever Trump says, the opposite it true.

DUH!

Isn’t the whole campaign make-it-up-as-we-go-along?

He’s got the biggest poll results ever, so why should he waste time practicing?

Yes Donald (pat, pat) you beat that bad girl. Now run along.

It’s not new news anyway. He said this months ago, IIRC.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 26% thought Donald Trump won Monday’s Presidential Debate.

A breakdown of the 26% revealed:
28% Could see their prostate;
63% Complained about the lighting;
9% Enjoyed the buffet.

From the bottom:

(Next week I will post my thoughts on Trump’s Achilles Heel and how I think he can be beat.)

He’s being silly IMO, and MAYBE lighting fires.

He is a smart person. He has the smartest. The smartest people. We hate to say it. But sometimes we do. He has the smartest people.
(Not a made up quote.)

Every poll is a winner when you can’t distinguish up from down.

“And I’m winning by massive margins in many cases. One was 80 percent to 20 percent!”

Confirmation bias is a helluva drug…

I couldn’t find a date on the post but found it linked from Wil Wheaton’s latest blog post:

Anyway, I am definitely going to phone bank in the next couple weeks. Will drive around with a magnet (I have a long commute so it’ll be seen by a lot of people). Haven’t decided if I will sign my house yet or not.

That statement was from months ago…

It isn’t just Trump citing the bogus online polls. Chief RNC strategist Sean Spicer was blustering about them to Judy Woodruff the day after the debate. I was pleasantly surprised when Judy busted him on it.

Of course, she didn’t bother to correct him when he went on to say that the debate was unfair because HRC didn’t get hard questions, and was never INTERRUPTED like poor little Donny. Can you believe that one? She just let it slide despite the 50 (or so) times Trump interrupted Clinton.
