When reached by phone, White House senior assistant press secretary Michael C. Short said: “Talking Points Memo has reporters?”

Trump: “I think that it is very, very unfair what’s happened to General Flynn.”

FBI agents interviewed Flynn.

Lying to the FBI is a felony.

Has anyone seen the transcript?

It’s far more likely that “what’s happened to General Flynn” is very, very felonious.

And just whom else in the Trump administration has the FBI interviewed?

Oy vey. My tatti used to tell us that if you always told the truth you would never have to remember your lies.

Can we just stop to note that “Trump” is now considered separately from “the White House”? With the Obama Administration, if a statement came from “the White House,” you could safely assume it was entirely consistent with Obama’s views. Now, you can’t even assume that what comes from “the White House” is consistent with “the White House’s” views.

Oh, come on. Clearly, the very dishonest, very unfair, we call them fake news media made it impossible for the President to trust General Flynn. Or something.

Trump has 3 battle fronts now: lawyers and judges, the real news media and the intelligence community. I still have reservations about Comey and the FBI, but I am greatly relieved that the CIA is working on the side of truth. It was the height of hubris for Trump to think he could eff with the CIA.

In honor of White House senior assistant press secretary Michael C. Short, I finally subscribed to TPM Prime. Keep up the great work, TPM!

It doesn’t matter; everyone knows that the FBI is fake news.

On the White House exterior, I see a two story tall mouth spitting out the staff followed by Trump.

Running the government like a business, er, like a Ponzi scheme. The Gang That Couldn’t Govern Straight. How completely unsurprising.

I eagerly await the day he is “separate[d] from the White House.”

I was very concerned since the election that seriously bad things were going to happen to the US because of the donald’s administration, I have been somewhat relieved lately by the thought that due to stupidity and sheer incompetence this may not be the case

And on his side are Steve Bannon and the Deplorables. This will not end well for Caligula. I hope he lasts until the midterms, so the GOP will be wiped out and to watch him live his own personal hell. I think he may quit before.

On Tuesday afternoon, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that Trump asked Flynn to resign “based on a trust issue” rather than any media treatment.

So Trump and his press secretary are not on the same page? Could be Spicey is actually reading from the page but Trump is not because there are more than 140 characters of non bullet pointed sentences.

Blame everybody but yourself and your team for what you chose to do.

Seems like Trump’s core “principle” in life.
