I commented about a month and a half ago, when it appearred that Trump was holding a beauty contest for Secy. Of State, viz. Romney et al., that it was always Tillerson, from the beginning. The beauty contest was a distraction.

And yet Tillerson (/the whole State Department) is being hung out to dry while Wunderkind Jared assumes full control of US foreign policy…with the exception of Russia, which is Trump’s personal fiefdom.
Side note: I read that the administration is so desperate to downplay the hollowing out of State that they’re bragging that more passports are being stamped than you could ever believe. Did Crooked Hillary stamp this many passports? Not on your life. Only Trump - the greatest! Love!
@ajaykalra Whether we expel him or Putin recalls him, that poor ambassador is bound for a nasty fate. Hell, there might even be an accidental leak of nerve agent at the embassy.
When he took office I bet many friends he’d last one full year. I might lose a nice chunk of change (and would do so gladly).
One interpretation is that “sane and sober” people like Tillerson and Mattis are just “cheap credibility.” Both of these guys are having problems with Trump/Bannon/Kushner - The Axis of Fratboy - getting their picks for underlings approved.

Definitely a smoking gun. With this much quo on the line there’s going to be some serious quid involved.
The administration may be going down, but it is vital how it goes down. I don’t want an impeachment with either Pence or Ryan ending up as POTUS. The cure would be as bad as the disease, if not worse. I want the election overturned and either the Democratic ticket installed or a do-over of the voting. We should not settle for anything less, as it would be rewarding the party that cheated.
