I’m pretty sure that’s not the first time I heard a load of shit from GOP’ers. Let it be. Brannon in time be a huge problem. He’s got a past and I’m sure it’s not pretty. We’ll begin to hear about it. He got a future and that sure as hell won’t be pretty. We’ll soon be hearing about that too. Stay calm and remember " don’t disturb your enemy when he’s about to make a mistake".
I want to believe you’re right, but I’m hella short on hope.
“I don’t know Steve Bannon,” [Ryan] said. “I have no concerns. I trust Donald’s judgment…”
Oooh, calling him “Donald” and not “Mr. (or President-Elect) Trump.” Diss.
Oh and by the way, how foolish and wrong we all were to characterize the red-staters as ignorant, gullible, angry, hateful, racist bigots who can’t accept the modern world. How foolish and wrong we were to insult them that way. They sure proved us wrong, I see that now.
I heard Trump surrogate Jack Kingston on CNN claim Alt-Right was a liberal label. No, Steve Bannon said Breitbart was the voice for the Alt-Right. So much lying and deflection coming from the Trump camp.Trump’s first order of business will probably be to ban fact checkers
Don’t be. It’s a sad affair I agree. I don’t think Trump has a chance of being a successful President. He’s going to hurt this country. I thought we’d have learned after GW but that did not happen. But Trump has way more potential to do damage than Bush. He will. It will be bad. I hope we learn this time.
I agree. I guess I should clarify that I’m short on hope that the Trump administration will be such a political disaster that they won’t get an opportunity to destroy the country…if that makes any sense.
I’m beginning to hope the country is gently but firmly taken under control by benevolent space aliens until we relearn how to do that self-government thing in an adult way. Going away from the computer for a half-hour. I assume if that’s what the President is announcing I’ll notice coverage of it and get back up to speed.
Sly dog you.
Between Bannon, Riecse, Conway and Fox News it will be hard to find truth in anything that comes out of this admin. And when it does the provider will be silenced…
This will just like the Bush 43 admin paying 253 million to create a positive image of Iraq…but on steroids…
Earlier to today there were two threads dealing with what T said, both full of uninformed, shit spewing out of his mouth crazy. One about crossing state lines for abortions (easy!) and the other via WSJ about him being unaware that the entire West Wing staff
Trump seemed surprised by the duties of the president, and his staff seemed unaware that the entire administration staff had to be replaced, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Many of us here went ballistic, and that’s our problem. But the world is listening to his crazy and will be bouncing back and forth, head spinning, asking what did he mean because he just said the opposite a few minutes ago. This election was the perfect storm for the far right and I don’t see how anyone associated with the new regime can deny it. President Obama is being gracious and elegant in every thing he’s said so far about the new guy, and he deserves ever more respect from us for as long as we have him.
I’m at a loss on how we deal with these people. They can now just blatantly lie directly to the media’s face – not even bad spin, but quickly and easily debunked 100% opposite-world lies – with no consequence whatsoever.
When truth no longer matters, where does that leave us?
I used to think that HO was the world’s biggest liar, but suddenly Ms. Conway moves right to the head of the line. She is a perfect microphone for the hatred, bigotry and outright delusional statements which have characterized the entire campaign. Le sigh.
Republican members of Congress and Donald Trump’s staffers have accused the media of overreacting to the President-elect’s decision to appoint Breitbart News chairman Steve Bannon to serve as his chief strategist.
Remember how Republicans reacted when Van Jones was named to the all powerful post of Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation? Much of it based on lies that Jones was a 9/11 Truther.
Who lead the call for Jones to resign? Oh yeah, some guy named Pence.

Are those mine?! No, I was holding them for a friend!!
Funny, Obama’s Harvard Law degree didn’t seem to matter to them. If anything it was seen as a detriment.
There is speculation here in California that Van Jones, among other numerous accomplished people, is being considered as a candidate for Attorney General since our current AG Kamala Harris won Barbara Boxer’s Senate. Governor Jerry Brown will need to make that appointment before too long. SF Chronicle says about Jones:
Van Jones, formerly a special adviser to Obama on green jobs, has most recently been a commentator on CNN during the election season. He initially emerged in the public arena in the 1990s as an advocate for victims of police abuse. It was impossible to miss the political potential in Jones during the presidential race as he summoned a nice blend of passion and reason in speaking out for the American values that were being trampled during Donald Trump’s campaign. His credentials on the environment and social justice — and effectiveness as a communicator — would offer a good starting point for an attorney general. His past activism would make him a source of controversy, but if anyone should appreciate the ability to evolve and mature in public life, it’s Jerry Brown.
And the hits just keep on coming.
