I was going to say that there would not be so many theories out there. But when I read that first line, it proves that neither is true. Republicans are lining up for one or the other (with various additions), but neither is “obvious”. No, the obvious interpretation is it was at least a suggestion for assassination of either Hillary or of her judges (or possibly both).
Nothing else here is obvious, except that Trump got called on it and that he is doubling down.
