Discussion: Trump Aide Hints At Major Demands To Get White House Support Of O'Care Fix

How long, oh lord, how long do we have to trudge through the valley of death with weak minded individuals trying to justify their greedy, unfounded policies? How long will our nation bear the wrath of evil and unjustified policy hurting the masses?

When your “bargaining position” makes you look like one of the terrorists throwing people off the Achille Lauro, you might want to think about the optics. On one side are the good guys, trying to ensure the life and safety of Americans, and on the other side, the Trump side, you have a bunch of lunatics who are trying to throw people off the boat. Great bargaining position, Republicans!

If we eliminate the mandate, it makes the exchanges even less stable and pushes up premiums even higher, so then we can say “see, Obamacare is imploding”.

And the white house has leverage over this process because…

Trump: Liberals made me poor. I will have have to kill OCare in return. Its too black:

I’m sorry but it seems to me that trump and his GOP cohorts don’t want ordinary non-billionaire non-big time donor Americans to have not only affordable health insurance…but any at all. It wasn’t called Obamacare when the law was passed. It was THE AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE ACT. I was labled Obamacare by GOPer wags who wanted it to fail. And trump has done all he can to kill it and then put the blame on democrats I am not rich. I don’t have a country club membership. I don’t drive a Jaguar. It would be a great thing to have health care I could afford for my wife. I have Medicare for myself. And I am quite sure Paul Ryan has that in his sights to kill.

Good Lord Marc Short’s c.v. reeks of cronyism, he is the swamp and the swamp is him.

Here is Short’s pathetic CV, as found on Wikipedia. All I needed to know is that he was Kay Bailey Hutchinson’s chief of staff. Another scrub trying to act like an All-American halfback. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Short

And why do they all look like the bad guy in a bad movie?

Damn straight on all points.

In other words, Trump is trying to get many of the things he couldn’t get in the repeal effort attached to the Alexander/Murray proposal.

in the form of a set of “principles”

Trump has principles? Who knew…?

but then reversed his position a few hours later

“Phone call on Line 1 from Emperor Bannon.”

You idiots, Trump and the GOP don’t want to fix anything. The Republicans have had since Clinton was FLOTUS to come out with a health care plan.

The pseudo-conservatives have been saying for decades that government is broken and here they are with the House/Senate/State Gov’s/WH and they’re proving themselves unable to open a jar of peanut butter!
