Discussion: Trump Adviser To #NeverTrump: Get On Train 'Or End Up Under The Train'

I think her better quote from the end is “he was some kind of man…”

If you ever want to check out a “B” movie that will transfix you for the sheer audacity of it’s cast, crew, writers and director find a copy of “I Was a Zombie for the F.B.I.”

No better late night viewing to be had, IMHO.

Yeah, no shit.

A quote from Otto the school bus driver on “The Simpsons” describes this guy perfectly:
“Homer had a piece of food stuck to his face for three days! And it wasn’t little either, it was a chicken wing!”

Some trivia you might not have known. Janet Leigh’s left arm was in a cast for the entire movie, and the director went to great lengths to hide it. See below. But when you talk Orson Welles I’ll just say this. The Third Man.

I’ll check it out. These days, it’s almost impossible NOT to find a movie, with streaming and whatnot. Thanks for the rec!

Yep. Even though it’s a Carol Reed film.

“I’ll leave the party…” Is that a promise? The teeny sliver of hope for the GOP.

This would simply be too tempting to ignore. What party would then have him?

LOL

Knew that, but I think Welles’s talent was such that it need to be reined in. On his own, he was unpredictable. Can we finally install the film tab I’ve always wanted?

When he gets on the plane to wherever, he won’t have to ask for a seat belt extension. As soon as he walks on, they’ll hand it to him.

Agreed. I’ve always had a great respect for him. When you do the best thing you’re ever going to do at 25, it makes life pretty hard, money or not.

Agree on the Film tab.

Yeah, Dietrich really stole that movie. I also loved the line, “You’re a mess, honey.”

So sayeth corn fed Clovis…

“The Stranger” has to be one of his most underrated and overlooked works. Acted and directed, starring opposite Eddie G, no mean feat. Anthony Veiller screenplay, written the same year he wrote “The Killers” adaptation of Hemingway’s story. All damned good stuff.
