One analysis points out that Trump could win Florida and Ohio and still lose the election. There were roughly 8,000 people directly employed mining coal in Pennsylvania in 2014. Assume many are married with spouses supporting Trump. Throw in a few businesses solely dependent on the spending of those miners or they fail. Just how many goddamned votes does Trump think appealing to coal miners reels in in Pennsylvania? The man is so detached from reality it’s pathetic. He believes coal miners will push him to victory in PA. WTF?

In 2014 there were less that 8000 coal mining jobs in a state that has 12.7 million people. But good luck swinging Pennsylvania with the coal miner votes.

He gave a speech before some miners in VA, and for the next 2 days, his response to everything everywhere is the “miners are going to win it for me”. Because a small group of miners were the last group of people to show him adulation.
