Hun Sen has been in power for 32 years through a series of regimes, and he’s the closest he’s ever come to getting tossed out of power. His tactics are as brutal as all the worst dictators, and for the second* time today I find myself agreeing with the Trump administration – frightening stuff.
*First was calling on Saudi Arabia to end the blockade of Yemen.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Treasury Department today announced an unprecedented Red Alert to members of Congress regarding overseas travel.
“While all travel vouchers will continue to be paid for the time being,” Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, who heads the department responsible for reimbursments for congressional travel, said, “any member denied entry to the US more than three days will see all travel funding stripped. While I regret any inconvenience this may pose to Democrat lawmakers, a line must be drawn.”
Asked about an upcoming trip to Jerusalem, The Philippines and the Dominican Republic by US Congressman Blake Farenthold (R-Texas), Mnuchin said it was “too early to tell how the policy will affect a particular members. Hopefully, the inconvenience will be minimal or none at all.”
