Discussion: Trump Admin To Propose Merger Of Education And Labor Departments

Let’s merge State, Defense, and Justice and rename it the Department of Fascism.

Plus the subliminal stuff that you know they added in… someone had to pay for all those free TVs… to bad it looks like we are getting the bill now.

Agreed. I just thought with his lack of experience, coupled with being an ACTUAL FUCKING MORON, he wouldn’t be able to break too much stuff too quickly (looking at YOU Mr. Mueller). That’s turning out not to be true.

Granted the GOP wants to help him but they, too, are clueless as to how to govern. They could BARELY PASS a tax cut that they ALL wanted! It’s a three ring shitshow over there in congress.

And yet, the damage is being done little bit by little bit. Scary how many people are willing to help dismantle the republic.

I like the ‘starting little fires’ analogy. That is very apt.

since she knows as much about labor as education she is the perfect trumpian fit for secretary.

What I like about this idea is that the effort is better coordinated by personnel in the same department. In different departments, the coordination is less effective because they’re two different jurisdictions. The mission would be coordinated and synchronized under one roof.

She has four kids so she has real life experience in labor.

Yeah, no kidding!!! Paging Grover Norquist! Paging Grover Norquist!

[How come you never hear about that guy anymore? He used to be on the news all the time…? Can’t say that I miss him, but it’s weird that he just kind of disappeared. Was that also due to the rise of the teabaggers? I know, kinda OT but this post made me think of it…:flushed:]

Yeah, but vocational training might help the families of blue collar GOP voters. And they are more reliable voters when scared and barely hanging on.

“the Workforce”

Did Stephen Miller com up with this, too. Are they trying to sound like Nazis?

Instead of the paradigm being education sets you free, it can change now to work sets you free.

I honestly didn’t think he could do this much damage so quickly
[/quote]In terms Trump would understand, having a demolition company bring down a building, after the explosives are set, takes maybe a minute. Building or re-building a structure (or institution of government or health care availability, etc.) takes a long time. You’re right - it will take a long time and considerable effort. But, it’s gotta be done or the country is done for.

Dems better make a helluva lot of noise about this. This is clearly part of the attempt to create a situation that allows states to use voucher systems to divert public funding away from public education and destroy it while creating no other option but conservative Christian indoctrination centers for children to attend…and the Dems should fucking say so…loudly…into every mic they can get in front of their faceholes.

Maybe they should just cut to the chase and collapse everything into the Department of Defense.

There are just so many issues the Dems can run on, but I will put money on that they don’t use any of them.

Same thing in TX although IIRC the decrease in funding began in the 1980s after the S&L crash.

Gate at Auschwitz.
The German translates to “work sets you free.”

Better yet the Department of Child Labor.

So this is the Republicans’ latest plan to break up the teachers’ union. I don’t know why Trump isn’t disbanding all the Cabinet posts and just putting Javanka in charge of everything.

I don’t know how they can dumb down America more than it is already, but Putin is trying his best with the help of the Republicans. Trump supporters do not identify with their own countrymen any longer and would rather be Russians.
