Discussion: Trump Admin Tells Judge It Can Reunite Fewer Than Half Of Families By Deadline

And by “half” they mean “almost none.”

They deported the parents of 19 children but kept the children and now claim they don’t have to reunite the kids with the parents.

I would hope to God that I would have the strength and residual decency to quit my damn job before I walked into a court and made that argument.

They never planned to reunite any of these families. EVER!

This level of inhumanity requires an unfathomably dark soul. One just like Pol Pot’s, or Stephen Miller’s.

These idiots in the Trump admin need to be held in contempt of court if they are not going to comply with the court order.
The absolutely stupidity and actual evil intent of just throwing this children in cages and not knowing who they are or where their parents are.
Nielsen and Azar should be locked up in cages and barely fed or taken care of… see how they feel then

There’s no way in hell I can see myself walking into court as I used to and saying Someguy Smith on behalf of the United States and then saying these things. These people are a disgrace to their professions and to the integrity of the oath they take when they join DOJ. I am beyond repulsed.

Declare the government in contempt.

Throw Kirstjen Nielsen in jail. Add another government official each day until everyone is reunited or every government official is in jail, whichever comes first.

Then keep 'em there anyway.

I can’t even think about this. The horror of putting your name on that kind of argument.

It was a fucking honor to stand up and introduce myself that way. Fuck these sons of bitches.

This is child abuse and neglect on a very large scale. These children and their parents pose no threat to our national security.

I could care less about a lawsuit by a playboy bunny or Mike Pence defending ICE or a potential Supreme Court nominee. If it were up to me, there would be no hearing for any S.C. candidate until there are investigations and hearings about the human rights scandal happening in our country. People need to be held accountable. The kind of abuse these kids are enduring would land an average person in jail.

Look, I’m a reasonable person. I understand that a thing can be tricky to accomplish if you haven’t given any thought to how or whether you were going to actually do it. So I’d like to suggest a kind of incentive system: Kelly, Nielsen, and Miller SIT IN FUCKING JAIL until those kids are reunited. Open-ended, but still capable of focusing the minds of the people involved.

Let’s just see if “they” can keep track of their own as well as they keep track of these “others.”

Sooo what about the kids that were deported without their parents? Wasn’t it reported that this atrocious thing happened?

Hey, I hear Paul Manafort’s complaining that he’s all alone in the VIP section of his lockup. How about we give him some company? Throw enough of these bastards in jail and I bet the problem will start to fix itself, one way or the other…

Kirsten? Kjestern? Kirstjen? Sorry, doesn’t ring a bell - did she used to bring coffee?

Trump/Sessions DOJ: The dog ate our homework.

Judge: I want a detailed description of what survived the journey, along with reconstruction of whatever was lost. The evidence must be complete enough that I don’t have to speculate when making my ruling.

We have better systems for taking in and tracking homeless dogs and cats in shelters. Why is this so fucking hard, especially in a time when EVERYONE has a cell phone with a camera that also records video? This is massive negligence and abuse. DNA testing is very expensive and total bullshit. There are some days I feel like I am going out of my mind. Please please please let the Ds take back the House so there can be hearings on this. Look what the world is doing to save those Thai boys trapped in a cave. Maybe we need to invite in the international community to help our incompetent government agents.

Monsters.

I heard a interesting term for what the Sessions DOJ is trying to do. It’s “malicious compliance,” an attempt to use the law to do evil.

Yes, I live and work in the DC area. I hear DOJ personnel talking about compliance with the law, like Stepford wives. This is how the Third Reich rose.
