What appears to be indifference mixed with incompetence actually is intentional cruelty.
You know damn well they have lost some of these kids.
Clusterf*ck? Or contempt of court? Both!
âI am encouraged by the progress,â Judge Sabraw said. âIâm optimistic that many of these families will be reunited by tomorrow.â
⌠or else.
Thatâs pretty bad, even for this administration. I canât imagine how theyâll crawl out from under this one.
1.96% success rate in returning the babies?
Now, if that doesnât say WINNING, I donât know what does!
This stands in stark contrast to the reunification effort in Thailand, where they are doing the nearly impossible to get those boys out of that cave and back to their parents.
Our country enjoys the occasional âperp walkâ to those who deserve such shame. The ACLU would like to have the administration announce each reunification date, time, and location of the reunifications in order to provide assistance to the mothers and their child/children. The rest of the nation and world would like to see the reunifications, if only to subject the administration to the shame they so much deserve. I hope the judge approves the ACLUâs request.
So the Thai government has successfully reunited 8 of 12 kids with their parents, but trump is currently 2 of 102.
âAdditionally, Gelernt took issue with the Trump administrationâs claim that it has lost track both of parents who have been released by ICE within the U.S. pending their immigration or asylum hearings and at least nine parents who it deported without their children.â
âWe donât know how much effort the government has made to find these parents,â he said."
Gelerntâs irony is thick, here, but what gets me is why would Trumpâs ICE NOT have a rigorous paperwork trail to locate all of these parents they have âlost trackâ of. What does âlost trackâ even mean?
Through sheer bureaucratic incompetence, Trumpâs cronies have painted themselves in the most inhumane light, as an agency that WANTS to abduct other peopleâs children. They never intended to return these children to their families. They planned on keeping them.
Deliver these children to their families now. And then lock Trump up.
1.96%, but yeah. Pathetic.
As it turns out, arguments that sound like theyâd only work in a late night dormroom debate really WERE designed just to âwinâ debates against bleeding heart liberals and had no application in the real world. Who knew?!
Theyâve been demanding that we do this sort of stuff for years and never once considered the fact that theyâre talking about real live human beings who need our help and not a faceless brown hoard of angry invaders who only want to destroy us. So the rightwing ârealistsâ were the idealists all along and honestly imagined America would finally rise up against political correctness once they showed that the path to hating brown people once was again cleared for takeoff. If real people werenât being hurt by this, itâd be hilarious.
What kind of colossal incompetence and/or carelessness (in the most literal sense) does it take to âloseâ people when you know they have children from whom you have forcibly separated them?
I think so too.
I think the kids are just collateral damage and there was simply no planning, period.
One can only guess that these Republican kidnappers are holding out for more ransom. So Trump still hasnât gotten the parents to sign that release stating they will leave without seeking asylum or their kidsâŚwhom Stephen Miller has already sold into white slavery or a ring of pedophiles?
Where are the kids and why canât the public see where they are being held against their willâŚand the rules of common decency and humanity?
What kind of American votes for such monsters besides those fake Christian Coalition members? Even Putin stepped up today to help breast feeding babies fight against Trumpâs attempts to deprive them of nourishment.
Agreed. Itâs not like they want more brown kids in the U.S. Far from it. But now theyâve got small children they must take care of.
Itâs the Pottery Barn Rule with human beings.
As for the rest, she claimed, three were brought to the U.S. by someone who is not their biological parent, three have parents with serious criminal records that bar reunification, five have parents with something on their record that requires further investigation, 12 have parents either in local or federal criminal detention who must serve time before being transferred to ICE, 18 have parents who were lost by the administration after their deportation or release into the U.S., and four have been approved for release to a non-parent sponsor.
That almost sounds like a rundown of everyone involved in the misconduct of this Administration. So many criminals and investigations going on. None of them serving their country legitimately. Does Stephen Miller know how many biological fathers he has?
LOCK THEM ALL UP! (i.e. government officials involved, not the immigrants). Then, if they donât meet the next deadline, the punishment gets harsher. (It isnât good to feel this much hatred, but I canât accept what theyâre doing as mere incompetence. I also call for this story to dominate all headlines and become the cause for a congressional investigation)
