After listening to Chuck Schumer and Bernie on Rachel Maddow last night, I’m starting to feel a lot better about things, shitty as they are, going forward. The strategies for the Senate and the grass roots cultivating of candidates in each state for way down ballets (School board to Gov) is a pretty good plan, at least for where we are now. Add that to the rule of thumb that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, I think, being diligent, we can make some lemonade out of this lemon we’ve been handed. Bonus opportunity with the state of whack jobs for elected R’s who live in some twisted reality that will assure they’ll push too hard and screw up their own demented plans.
On NPR today I caught pieces of a story about voters in West Virginia and similar states who are about to lose health care that are actually saying…and get this…harumpf…they are counting on Dems to keep trump in check and save their health care. WTF!!! Now, take a second to let that really piss you off, as it did me, and indulge in some serious indignation, rightfully so, then, deal with it and see it as an opportunity. As enraging as this is, and it certainly is, it also appears like we have them by the short hairs, though… growl…we have to sort of be nice about saving their fucking asses and use this as a prime opportunity to get it through their bull heads that they need to finally quit voting against their best interests. I’m with you on the one point of, “let them rot the dumb ungrateful fucks, feel the pain”…but…ack…we have to go high. Thoughts?
