Seriously, McCain and the others did him a huge favor because the only thing worse than Trumpcare failing was Trumpcare passing; which would only have made the mid-term landslide even worse for him.
As a reminder to people who don’t need it: The main reason Republicans opposed Obamacare is because they knew that once it passed, it’d be political suicide if they tried to kill it. Those rules still apply, but they’ve gone so far down the rabbithole that they’ve totally forgotten that Trumpcare was the very thing they wanted to avoid all along.
