  1. True the Vote did not “file a restraining order.” Parties can’t file restraining orders. Only judges can enter orders. That’s what makes them “orders.” Parties can file motions asking a judge to enter a temporary restraining order, but they can’t just file an order they made up themselves. (Unless, of course, they’re sovereign citizens.)

  2. The motion they actually filed belies a complete lack of understanding of what a TRO is and what it is for.
