I’m getting less and less sure. The reason Obama beat her was that her campaign made a number of small, dumb mistakes.

She’s not running against anyone except a Republican … yet. More of this and someone might toss their hat in the ring. I am sure there are folks thinking about it given these unforced errors. I mean, how does this stuff keep dribbling out? Admit everything in one mea culpa and get it over with. The dribbles just cause doubts in the electorate, even among Dems.
As an aside, if Jeb Bush gets the nod a Democrats other than a Clinton might have an advantage of there being no legacy.
Not saying someone will, just saying that the ridiculous mistakes are at least unlocking the door, and more will open it.
He’s the designated villain but looks more like the victim.

Can someone with a tech background verify the implication of Gowdy’s statement, that whatever emails were on that server have been destroyed utterly and irretrievably? I don’t entirely understand how she could have deleted everything off of the server to the point that there would be no record whatsoever of their existence or that there would be no way to reconstruct them, or at least parts of them. Couldn’t those emails be retrieved anyway (unless she, like, incinerated the machine)?
Plus, Hillary seems willing to give them over anyway, but it’s not her call - why aren’t they pressuring the State Department more, if they really wanted them?
Oh yeah, one word… BEN GHA ZI. And, I guess, fear of a female president.

You would think that they would transition from smarmy ex-car thief to someone who looks and less like “You in a heap o’trouble, boy”, but that ignores how much guys like that appeal to the base.

It would seem that Trey Gowdy or Howdy Doody or whatever the hell his name is, is making a definitive statement for political purposes that cannot be technically verified. To that end, it is an attempt at further conspiracy mongering.

My recollection is that Clinton was mathematically eliminated by February, and only continued on in the hope of some unforeseen game changer late in the process.

Actually, polling indicates that nobody really cares about this so-called scandal. Democrats really don’t care about this manufactured issues nor does the general electorate. Even Republicans are yawning on this one. It’s a big, fat nothingburger. And guess what, no matter who wins the Democratic nomination there is going to be a drip, drip, drip of of various bullshit coming out that Republicans will leap on and scream 'SCANDAL".
I really wish our side could dispense with this canard because I find it incredibly offensive. Obama beat her because the Obama team ran a nearly flawless, masterful campaign unlike any other in American history. In this incredibly racist country, they managed to get a black man elected to the most powerful position on the planet. To say Obama that was some kind of fluke because HRC made dumb mistakes belittles the near perfect campaign executed by team OFA. They managed to turn even the Rev. Wright controversy into a net positive with his Philly speech on race. HRC didn’t run a bad campaign on the whole, it was a bad campaign in comparison to Obama’s master class on how to win a presidential election. It’s like saying Montrezl Harrell sucks because he’s not as good as Michael Jordan.
